~Ring Facts~

How do you acquire them?: You will first get two rings that are randomized from a set of starter rings. These rings are untradeable but don't worry, you'll most likely trip across the other rings in the set in the beginning areas. Other rings can be acquired through killing monsters and looting them, and completing quests. There was also a ring given out during conventions so some special limited edition rings may be acquired through special events.

How do I make them more powerful?: As you quest and fight monsters you gain charge orbs which can be added to any ring you want to make it more powerful. The charge orbs add up to a total charge which has mainly the purpose of proving how experienced you are. Charge orbs can be gained from killing monsters and completing quests. Another way is to "harvest" a ring which gives you half it's charge orbs though doesn't add to your total charge.

Rage Ranks?: As you fight a bar starts to rise, the bar is sectioned off into four sections called rage ranks. When your rage rank bar is high enough you can hold down the attack button to charge up your attack to unleash a more powerful attack. The longer you hold the button the more powerful your attack (as long as you have enough rage for it). You can unleash a series of smaller medium attacks or one massive one, it's all about strategy.

What are the types of effects the rings have?: There are many odd and awesome effects that the rings have though they are mainly sectioned off into Attack, healing, passive buff and active buff. An attack does just what you expect, it damages an enemy and is the main offensive work horse of your arsenal. Healing does just as you'd expect as well and can heal yourself or a team mate or even revive them from being dazed. Passive buffs will make you stronger or add a nifty effect continuously without having to be activated, these may include having a stronger attack, healing better, going faster, or being more resilient to attacks. The active buff is a modifier which has to be activated and will stay active for a short time, also you can use them on your team mates and also can cast a debuff on a monster to make it weaker.

What about something you haven't covered?: Ask and I'll answer, if you want to find information about different aspects of the MMO then search around in the forum for other faq's and guides which will cover everything from the area maps to the monsters that inhabit the land. Look around and if your question still isn't answered ask one of our qualified regulars who eat, sleep and breath information on the MMO.

List of Rings.

Boomers (Attack Rings):
User ImageBump- This ring deals moderate damage and even knocks the enemy back, giving you more room to use ranged attacks. Also useful in keeping enemies from attacking your friends.....sorta. xP

User ImageDervish- An AoE attack which gives you a little breathing room by pushing back every enemy it hits along with dealing "moderate" damage.

User ImageFire Rain- An aoe attack which summons fire to rain down on any foes in a large radius, with you as the center of the attack. Hits exactly 3 times. It's a VERY sexy ring. <3

User ImageGuns, Guns, Guns- Summons various firearms to attack the enemy. Said to deal moderate damage and also has a nice knockback effect while sporting a short cooldown timer by sacrificing attack range.

User ImageHack- A slow, but powerful swipe of a sword. Has a slow recharge rate and uses the most stamina of any 1v1 attack.

User ImageHeavy Water Balloon- Launches a water balloon to deal AoE damage to an extremly wide-radius of enemies. Has a very low attack power and moderate cooldown though.

User ImageHornets Nest- An AoE attack in which you thow a hive of hornets into a group of enemies. This ring hits three times and does damage similar to Fire Rain. (Note: You *actually* get to choose where you throw the hive on the screen, as your cursor changes into a greet target)

User ImageHot Foot- One of the three possible starter attack rings. Creates an area of hot steam under a monster and does damage slowly over time. This ring can be use from mid-range.

User ImageHunter's Bow- Summons a bow to attack the enemy for a weak attack. Enemies hit by the attack will become slowed, which also stacks with gumshoe. ("Slow the heck down so I can shoot j00!")

User ImageMantis- One of the three possible choices as a starter attack ring, which summons a katana to quickly strike your foe. This ring sports a fast cooldown, low stamina cost and strong damage output.

User ImageShark Attack- Summons a shark to swim towards your opponent and deal damage, while moderately knocking your enemy back. This ring can be used from medium-range.

User ImageShuriken- Throws a barrage of ninja stars in the direction you're facing to deal damage to any monster caught in the spread. It's said to have low attack rate, but also debuffs your target's accuracy. That's right, throw your sharp metal at their face. Maybe some of it will stick? ;D

User ImageSlash- A ring which summons a sword to strike your foes. While slower than the mantis ring, it's considerabily more powerful. Not to mention it hits all enemies within slashing-distance.

User ImageSolar Rays- One of the three possible starter attack rings. Shoots a burst of sunlight at your foe for damage. This ring is ranged, but also sports a moderate cooldown and stamina cost.

Healing Rings:
User ImageBandages- One of the three possible starter healing rings. Heals your target slowly over time. More charges yield more hp restored per "tick." Restores more overall hp than diagnosis per use.

User ImageDefibrillate- One of the most useful rings ever: it provides your allies with a quick jolt of electricity to awaken them from dazed status. More charges unlock more rings upon revival, while higher levels restore more HP.

User ImageDiagnosis- One of the three starter healing rings. Heals yourself and everybody around you (they don't even have to be in your crew!) for a minor ammount of hp. More charges increases the amount of HP restored, which can be very useful if everyone in the party is suffering damage.

User ImageMeat- One of the three possible starter healing rings. Restores a large chunk of health and adds to your max HP. This ring has a lengthy cooldown.

User ImageWish- Restores a portion of HP to a crew member of your choice by making a wish on a dandelion. This ring has a short cooldown and restores a moderate amount of HP for a low stamina cost.

Buff Rings:
User ImageAdrenaline- A ring which is used to increase your ally's dodge stat.

User ImageCoyote's Spirit- A buff ring which increases your speed by a low amount for a LONG time. Works on both yourself and allies. Ruuuun!

User ImageDivinity- Grants the user angel wings for a short second to increase the rate at which you recover stamina, even during battle. Affects any people close to you.

User ImageFitness- A buff-type ring which adds a small boost to all of your stats. Specifically, it adds about 5 to your dodge and accuracy each CL (50 at CL10), about 50 weight per CL (500 at CL10) and increases your Health and Stamina Regeneration by minor amounts.

User ImageFleet Feet- Allows you and your crew to run very fast for a short duration while also providing a small dodge boost. Use this ring to make speedy get-aways.

User ImageGhost- This popular ring engulfs your avatar in a purple shade of darkness in order to increase your dodge stat.

User ImageHealing Halo - You and your crew receive glowing halos above your heads, which increases your "HP Regeneration" stat and lets you recover more HP when kneeling.

User ImageImprobability Sphere- One of the three possible starter buff rings. Said to deflect attacks aimed at your allies on a success rate. It's also an infamous reference to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

User ImageIron Will- Increases your "Willpower" stat, which decreases the chances you'll be affected by willpower-based status effects and increases the chance that you can use them on enemies. (Like Taunt, Quicksand, Duct Tape, etc.)

User ImageKeen Aye- Increases your accuracy stat.

User ImageKnife Sharpen- One of the three possible starter rings. It increases an ally's accuracy stat.

User ImageMy Density- Increases your "Weight" stat, which lowers your center of gravity, making it harder for monsters to knock you back. It's also a little-known reference to "Back to the Future" in which somebody misquotes "My Destiny" for "My Density." :3

User ImagePot Lid- Provides a small chance of deflecting ranged attacks. (Deflection simply means that a large portion of the damage is received will be blocked, dealing only minor damage to yourself.)

User ImageRock Armor- One of the three possible starter rings. It increases an ally's defensive power for a long duration.

User ImageTeflon Spray- A buff which has the ability to absorb damage delt to you and has a small chance to even deflect both close and long-ranged attacks. (Similar to a mixture of Turtle and Improbability Sphere) This ring is really useful in the higher areas from personal experience.

User ImageTurtle- The ultimate ring in terms of a short-duration-defensive buff. Summons a turtle shell to protect you. Uses ALOT of stamina and has a long cooldown. At RR4, this ring will also heal you as you take damage for the entire buff's duration. (The effect duration for this ring is 15 seconds, while the cooldown is 2 minutes, so be sure to use this ring strategically)

Crowd Control Rings:
User ImageDuct Tape- Wraps the enemy up in duct tape to keep it from moving. The monster will be freed once hit again. This is useful for wrapping up enemies when you need to rest to recover stamina.

User ImageGumshoe- Slows down your target by sticking gum under their feet. Please, don't re-chew the same gum. D:

User ImageQuicksand- Create a quagmire at a point of your choosing, causing all the enemies to become "stuck" for a short period of time. (You *actually* get to choose where you make your quagmire, much like Hornet's Nest)

User ImageScaredy Cat- Scares enemies into running away. Good for keeping your a** alive when you're getting overwhelmed.

User ImageTaunt- Makes you the target of an enemy. Use this ring to keep your friends out of danger. (Note: As a bit of fun, the RR4 animation has your avatar "flip-off" all enemies on screen with both middle fingers. Qixter's personal favorite ring to use when driving on those crazy California Highways. xD)
