Lynn’s attention moved about the room, as she waited to be pulled back along the halls to where ever Logan pleased. Suddenly, the sound of raised voices captured her attention, in the corner Gunslinger and the woman from the infirmary stood in a confrontation. The small nurse argued with the same spark she had seen back when she was in the infirmary, her eyes wild with determination. Meanwhile, Gunslinger looked like he could fall over at any moment. Lynn’s brow furrowed in bewilderment, she didn’t recall him acting sick or injured. A rebel stood near by watching the argument as well, muttering to his partner.
“…he’s probably drunk again.” Commented the man, Lynn’s confusion grew as she pondered the word. She had heard it once before, but couldn’t seem to find a meaning. A soft click beside her sounded as Logan unhooked the cuffs for a brief moment, before storming off towards the two arguing rebels. Lynn felt like she was intruding as she watched Logan whisper intently to the two, but she was so damn curious. Never could she have fathomed that Gunslinger would have a …lover. Then again, so far she had been nothing but wrong so why change the trend?
The rebel leader returned a few minutes later looking worn, and tired. Snapping the dangling cuffs back to his wrist he stalked over towards the door, Lynn following silently behind. She could sense his foul mood and didn’t want to push her luck any further with him. Especially after their previous argument.
The two went about the identical hallways at a quick pace, Logan’s long powerful strides made it hard to keep foot with him. Rounding yet another corner they arrived back at Logan’s room. He typed in an access code and the door hissed, sliding away to allow entrance.
“When I leave for the raid, you are not to leave here. I’m trusting you. By staying here, you are proving to me that you are transferring your loyalty to the Highwind, it’s members and me. Is this clear?” Logan said, his back was to her, his voice was low and neutral but Lynn still felt that he was threatening her.
“Yes.” She replied, feeling if she was really betraying him, even though he was the enemy. She felt bad.
Logan turned towards her now, unlocking the cuffs from both of them, they clamored to the floor.
“Good. I’m going to prepare for the raid. Remember our deal Lynn.” Logan’s eyes never met hers, as he spoke, then before he turned to leave her alone in the room the flickered up at her face just for s split second revealing something Lynn couldn’t identify.
Hiss
The door had slid shut leaving her alone again. She looked around the room and saw the clock again. It was getting close to the time of the raid, anxiety ran through her like a blade. Why was she having second thoughts?
Fidgeting about Lynn decided to snoop around the unorganized papers around the room. Most of them were journal entries from before the war, and others were ship diagrams made by Darius. She sat crossed legged on the floor amongst it all, a stack of papers off to the right. She hadn’t realized she was actually cleaning the room until she saw that she had organized the papers into neat stacks and piled the trash in the corner.
“I’m pathetic….”She mumbled. Lynn really wasn’t a neat freak in anyway, but when ever she was nervous it was a good way to keep her hands busy.
Chime
The old clock made a strange chiming noise making her look up. It was midnight. The rebels will be gearing up now, preparing their weapons and discussing battle plans, all of them buzzing with anticipation just as Lynn did, but for completely different reasons. Lynn took the stack of old world journal entries (arranged in chronological order) and placed them beside the desk.
“Ew….” She grumbled as her knuckle touched the bare wood of the desk, leaving a mark in the thick layer of dust.
“Men…so disgusting.” Even in the CLEAN cities most men were slobs. It was almost as if it were coded into their DNA. Lynn grabbed a ratty shirt from the floor and began to dust off the desk. Plumes of dust and dirt whirled around her, throwing her into a coughing fit. As the air cleared and her eyes stopped watering she could see the designs that were carved into the woods surface. Intricate rune like swirls danced over the smooth surface in a satisfying way. Lynn ran her finger along one of the designs following each bending curve and turn. It was so mesmerizing and beautiful.
Sighing her hand fell to her side and she tossed the ragged and now dusty shirt into a corner. Carefully she placed her stacks of papers on the desk, along with Logan’s few knick knacks and tools. His maps were smoothed out and placed back on the walls, his guns all lined up in his drawer. Picture frames were dusted allowing the faces to be seen, and his computer screen as well. In essence, Logan’s desk was clean. Lynn turned to see the rest of the room in all it’s disgusting glory.
“12:30…well at least I have something to do…” She said with another sigh.
As she worked through the room, she realized who truly large it was. Though one couldn’t tell when walking in by all the meaningless clutter, but once that was cleared out the space could be seen. Lynn piled his dirty laundry in the corner with the dusty shirt. She had never seen a man’s underwear before and was surprised that they looked a lot like shorts and nothing like the things she wore. Some even had hearts on them. Along with the underwear, she came across various dirty, and torn pieces of clothing. Some with tears and holes, others with stains of blood and dirt. She even found a pair of pants with a bullet hole right through the back pocket. Giggling to herself she threw those into the pile as well.
At 2:32 the room was completely clean, the bed was even made (she found clean sheets in the drawers). And at that exact moment the intercom hummed to life.
“Attention, everyone participating in the raid please report to Battle Deck.” It was Logan, she assumed he was in the control room. Lynn took a deep breath.
It was time to go home.

((Sorry it's so short. If anyone has questions about the raid and how it's going to go down message me))

When Brynn finished turning the table into nothing more than scrap metal, she stood panting, Luminescence danging loosely at her side. Logan and Lynn gone, she regained her composure quickly and strode out of the room quickly.
