I thought I'd start a serioustopic with a discussion that everyone know something of.
It's over now, yes, but the 2008 Election in America was one of the most important events this year. America is after all a superpower.
So who were you rooting for? Why? What do you think will happen with the new president?
And since we're on politics, what about Proposition 8? Pro? Against?

I personally rooted for Obama. Healthcare, pulling the troops out of Iraq and strengthening the forces in Afghanistan. Also, increased taxes means more funds for the government to do what they do best, fix things.
I don't think that these four years will be enough to drastically change America, but it will be a start. If Obama gets re-elected, or at least another Democrat, we might see some changes after eight years.
Proposition 8? Against. Of course homosexuals/lesbians should be allowed to marry.
