Pain
We must fall to get back up again
It is necessary for us to break to heal again
So I ask why it must hurt to get better
Why it takes so much to get so little
Asking will give me no answers
Taking does me no good
So I ask why we steal from others
Why when it gives us no gain
This pain that we hold
Stays until we die
So I ask why we don't let it go
Why when we know there will be relief
This is why
Pain helps us remember
It keeps those who are lost there
It reminds us of memories long past
Most of all it keeps us together
