She felt his tail stroke her cheek and had to lower her eyes to the water to try and hide the blush that threatened to appear. She followed besided him ever so slightly behind him. She was starting to tire though she would never let him know that. She noticed the land drift away and slowly vanish and fear threatend to captura her and pull her under but she brushed the thought away. "Worried? You have got to be kidding me no way am I worried. I trust you not to let me get hurt." A note of apprehension crept into her voice making it tight making her fear more noticable then she would have liked. It was not so much the fact that she was far away from land in the water that scared her as much as it was that it was dark, cold, and she was getting tired and could not see really well.

Jet flicked his ears, just to make sure what she said was real. Huh. First time they met they seemed to be at war. Now, she trusted him and they hadn't even been together for an hour yet. He smirked. He wouldn't betray that trust. "All right." he said, chuckling. He heard a slight hint of fear in her voice but decided not to taunt her about it. "We're almost there." he said, remembering the time when he first found it. He had been angry, as it was right after he left his family. He decided to swim to get rid of his stress and he had gotten tired at around this time. The option of swimming back wasn't available, as he had gone a long way and wasn't sure where the closest plot of land was. His wings weren't like the Akuma's and he couldn't fly with them wet and there was no land nearby to dry them. Just when he had thought of giving up, for the small, fleeting moment, he'd seen the place he wanted to show Pheony. After he left (faster since the current led to the stream) he tried to find it by flying around but found no such luck. For some reason, it could only be reached through the waters.

She watched him flick his ear and amusement danced in her eyes. He could not believe that she trusted him? Well so it was not a large amount of trust but at least it was something he could start with she figured she should at least give him that much. "How did you find this place anyway? Its not often a non water clan member swims for such a long time out into the middle of no where. As a matter of fact I can't think of anyone that does that, that is not in the water clan." She was a little confused as she continued to follow him. Why had they not just dried off and flown? Though it would have been just as tiring it would have put her closer to the stars. She enjoyed flying it made her feel free and at one with herself. Flying was a release for her, something that brought her closer to the ones she believed to be watching over her and that was a great feeling. She believed Jet had a good reason as to why they could not fly but still it was bothersome to be stuck in a deep dark body of water and tiring the whole time.

Jet continued onwards, his tail flickering at her question. "I found this place when I had no where else to go." he finally said after a long silence. He laughed. "I was young and stubborn at the time. Giving up wasn't an option for me." He flicked some water at her. "Being of the Earth clan doesn't mean one cannot love flying, just as being in the Chaos doesn't mean I can't enjoy swimming as much as the Water clan. Besides, it means I'm special. Unique." he laughed again, glancing at her. "Just like you are. Don't think about trying to fly." he said the last part when he noticed her longing look at the sky. "You'll only hurt yourself. No place to dry yours wings." he said, motioning to the vast ocean around them. Or at least, almost vast. A small chunck of land could be seen in the distance, getting large with each stroke their paws made under the water.

Phe looked at him her head cocked to the side. He was not telling her the whole truth. She could almost feel it like it was second nature to her. However she let this slide and opted for a less obvious rout that she was in fact prying into his history. "Your family kicked you out? Were they like Ugs? I don't think its right for mothers to kick their children out." She looked as if she was thoughtful about the subject when really every inch was in tune with what he was saying and doing. Waiting for a response from him tense. She watched the body of land come inch ever closer as they swam on. "You are definitely unique but I must say its not just for that reason. I guess you do have a point but still swimming such a long way is unlike any other clan. You must admit, to that at the very least. I won't try and fly I am not stupid but that does not mean I can not long to fly. You are stubborn now, young or not you are still a stubborn hard headed kitsune." She stated the last part without any contempt she said it as if she was stating a fact and in the end they both knew she was. He was almost as hard headed as Ali and that was saying something because Ali was really... annoying.

"Oh, no." he said, paddling faster. The sight of rest close by always gave him more energy. "I left. I suppose it was because I felt different. As if I didn't belong, you know?" he turned to look at her. "I used to be Lunar clan, but converted to Chaos. The Lunar clan is close to the Water clan. Maybe that's why I enjoy swimming." he shrugged. He laughed at her next comment and said, "Yes, I suppose you're right. Old habits die hard and all that." he rolled his eyes, turning his head back so that he was once again facing the land. It was much closer now and after a few minutes, they had reached shore. He dragged himself over the sand, not bothering to shake out his wet fur, and laid down on a large rock nearby. "We'll rest here for now." he said, rolling onto his side. He whacked his tail on a sturdy tree nearby, catching a few large fruits that fell. "Want one?" he offered, cracking one open. The tree was strong, to be able to survive right next to a large rock, and it's fruit was very nutritious and gave lots of energy. Perfect after a particularly long swim.

"You would be surprised how well I understand that. Why did you convert to the Chaos?" She said the word chaos like it was acid in her mouth. She shook her fur at and sat down beside the rock. "Yes, thank you." she said as she took the fruit from him and started nibbling at it. She sniffed at it before every bite, it smelled funny but tasted fairly tasty. She could not for the life of her understand why someone would WANT to be in the chaos clan. It made her feel slightly sick to her stomach and light headed all at the same time. Wanting to be apart of something like that was just treason, well maybe not treason but certainly it was insanity.
