Reqs and Conversions
Relic > Toddler
*
Assignment RPThis is how one gets their relic. It is a required RP with one of the shop staff members (at this point, [Dg] does those) where the character receives their relic, essentially, and a bit of an explanation of what it is.
*
Two Preparatory SolosThese two posts are done usually by one’s self and are the character’s preparations to be getting their baby godling – or, in some cases, just freaking out about the fact that they’re getting a kid.
*
Baby Finding RpThis is how your character is getting their kid, so it is required. The RP, like the Assignment, is done with one of the shop staff members.
Toddler > Kid
*
Five RPsFive PDs – or equivalents – should be completed (or mostly completed), before a growth is put in during this stage. The kids aren’t always sociable so going out and having playdates isn’t completely an option, but five somethings need to be done with the kids. Other options can be found on the conversion chart.
*
One Completed PromptThese official prompts are generally be given out by the shop staff on the request of the owners. They will be used for the development for the kids’ powers and whatnot. The prompts will be created specifically for each godling, usually. Other things can be done in exchange but some will be required, at least to a point, since the kids do need to develop certain powers certain ways.
Kid > Teen
*
Seven RPsSame as above. :3
*
Two Completed PromptsSame as before. Again, they’ll be tailored to the kid. They’ll also be what’s used, pretty much, to complete the non-RP requirements for this stage.
*
Something of Personal Value GainedBy ‘value’ I don’t specifically mean monetarily. This could be of sentimental, emotional, or spiritual value too. And it need not be an object (for not every kid is materialistic), it could be a friend, mentor, or an understanding. This most likely will be acquired in one of the prompts.
*
One Minor Power GainedSince they are a god, the kid would have been slowly gaining some abilities, but they’d finally have fully mastered one. Again, it would have been brought up in one of the prompts.
Teen > Adult
*
Nine RPsSame as before XD
*
Three Completed PromptsThese will, again, be used in completing the non-RP requirements for this stage, as well as being tailor made for the kid.
*
A Past Memory GainedThis could very-well-be the memory of the kid’s death, or something significant to them from their past. Or it could be a few inconsequential things from who they were. What sort it will be and how many memories come back will depend on the child, and this will be found in the prompts.
*
Some More Power GainedSince they’re grown, they will be gaining more of their old powers. It could be a small number of more potent ones, or a greater number of weaker ones. Depends on the kid and such. Another thing that will happen in prompts.
*
Some Show Of IndependenceNot every kid in the world moves out when they feel they’ve grown up. Some just decide to get a job, or get their own room. Some don’t do very much, but they’d have to have a reason as to why they aren’t. Something along these lines will be the third prompt for this stage. Again, made on an individual basis.
Adult > Full Deity
*
Nine RPsThe usual.
*
Two Completed PromptsThe usual.
*
Full Powers GainedThis one is going to essentially be an overview of their regular full powers. Going to be handled with one of the prompts. The usual.
*
Full Memories GainedThey remember who they were, how they died, the works. It’s up to them what they do with this knowledge but anyway.
*
A Few Other Significant ‘Holy Crap I’m a Real God Now!’ ThingsThis isn’t quite required as much as suggested. Some deities are the types who’d do something or another, once realizing that they are really and truly a deity, so yeah. This one will be brought up when we get to that point.
Full Deity > Ascended Deity
*
???I honestly have no bloody clue what I’m doing to have people get to this stage yet. This will probably require a good bit of activity and development of the kid. Including a few things above and beyond regular requirements. We’ll see about it later.
Conversion Chart
Like people can give you 10 dimes, 4 quarters, 100 pennies, 2 half dollars, or a dollar bill to make one American dollar, a player can do a few different things to make up the same requirements.
RP Req Conversions
*
RPRP is RP. An rp where it is just ‘hi-bye, get on with life” would probably not count for as much as an RP with a lot of depth to it. So sometimes your RP won’t count for your requirements exactly and sometimes it might count a little more. But there are other things that can be done in place of it for reqs.
*
Solo RPsSolo RPs can be just as in depth as an RP between two people, and can be used to show similar things about the kid. This option might be better for a more anti-social child. A short and sweet Solo RP will count for half an RP. A long, in-depth Solo RP will count for a full RP or more in requirements.
*
Journal EntriesNow, not everyone’s character is big into writing out their feelings, but some are. Some characters may like to analyze their children and write out every little detail about things going on. A quick, simple one of these might count for a small portion of an RP requirement, but a long, detailed one might count for the same.
*
Requested PromptsSometimes you just haven’t got a bloody clue what to do with your kid IC, and want a prod in the right direction – or you just like having prompts. You can request a prompt of some kind and I can come up with one for your kid. It’s the same as with the other stuff – written well, it counts the same as an RP and with less effort, it might only count for a small portion.
*
Mental SnippetsSome characters are the types to have huuuuuge internal monologues. Some aren’t and just have internal reactions to things. Showing what’s going on in each character’s head during situations – provided it’s a bit more detailed – is allowed. If you like writing your character’s inner-most thoughts and reactions, that’s fine and can be used in replace of RP when done right. (Personally, I don’t like doing that but you can if you want XD)
Required Prompt Conversions
*
Required PromptsSo, since these kids have powers and all that, some things about them do need to be developed. Powers, memories, etc., those all have to come up at some point. Well, these prompts are used to show prod you in the right direction and help figure out what powers should be developed and how. These require a certain amount of depth to them, but they are more specific than regular RP and the rest, development-wise, as they’re used to complete the Non-RP requirements. Other stuff can still be used in place of them, though.
*
RPYes, you can actually complete your prompts with RP, provided you still follow the criteria of the assignment. Some people are more social and like to play with others more than they like to just write out Solos. So as long as the required parts of the prompt are in the RP, used, reacted to, and whatnot, it’s fine. For example, with the gaining of powers. Say we’ve got Mana, our Water god, developing the ability to make small waves come out of no where. If Pales wants to have that power come up in an RP instead of a solo, he’s allowed to do that so long as he does it right. If Mana’s power shows ups, scares the other kids and he’s rushed home, Pales will have to also do some solo or whatever explaining how that ended. If he keeps that going and the situation gets handled there and then, he just has the RP to do.
*
Journal EntriesAgain, not every character is the type to write in a diary, but some are. Writing out what happened and their whole take on the situation is totally plausible. Just so long as it meets the prompt requirements.
*
Mental SnippetsThis I don’t encourage as much, since I think it is harder for a person to meet the requirements for a prompt this way, but if you think you can do it, go right ahead. Flashbacks, internal monologues, etc. So long as it meets the criteria of the prompt that works just fine.
