The fire crackled in the most appeasing way as Striker stretched himself out to get comfortable in masters house. It wasn't very hard- master always left him the most comfortable pillows to lie on, the best food to eat; and all the love he ever needed. He yawned and plopped his head down. It had been quite different from the rainy pitter patterning sound from the window. For a few seconds of blissful contentment he only thought about himself. But as the rain came down harder his mind turned to his sister. Who for some odd reason left this perfect setup to become a stray. God only knows why!

But it unnerved him as the wind grew harsher and the tree branches rattled from outside. Even though he thought she was an idiot for leaving, he still loved her and had to know if she was okie. So without directing too much attention to himself snuck away from the fireplace and nudged his way threw the semi-open dog door. Ironic master had forgotten to lock it shut during such a bad storm.

And as he felt the first gust of wind it made him almost regret going outside and leaving his comfort zone. Who would find this weather appealing anyway? Perhaps this was why he was a pet still. With that he waggled his butt hopping over the fence and started trekking out into 'wild' dog territory. Probably not a smart thing considered how pampered he was. But he had to know if his sister was alright.

Svana had been laying in a patch of tall grass when the rain had started, the chilly dampness on her fur was what had stolen her form her sleep and woken her. Svana's green eyes snapped open and she grumbled slightly about her nap being ruined, though the discontent didnt last long considering svana loved the rain. The rain made her feel clean, made her feel safe, made her feel at home, and she liked it. Stormy weather was her favorite of all just because of the strong winds blowing about her fur.

She rose and crept about the grasses, weaving through them just in case someone might have been following her, the rain made it slightly harder for her to tell it seemed, that was unless she found paw prints. The wind whistled in her ears and she glanced up at the sky as she headed towards the trees, if there was lightening she would need to take cover, maybe find a cave or something...

She sighed picking up her pace towards the tree line her eyes darting about warily. She didnt like spending time in the forest, too many places for others to hide in, which was made all the worse by her dislike of those humans in the white coats. She shuddered, she could still remember them sticking things in her when she had eaten something funny and her humans had taken her there.

Striker had gotten himself lost no doubt about that. He had a keen nose but the rain was throwing him off completely to where he ended up at. He obviously was no longer in the suburbs where he lived. Even in the rain he would have noticed the familiar scents of the other dogs around him. He seemed to now be at the edge of some sort of forest. He cocked his head and sighed never even knowing his home even bordered a forest this size. Ah what he would give to be back home right now.

His life would be in grave danger if any wild dogs found him out here. He cursed at himself as the rain pounded on his fur. His sister would be fine without him. She seamed to be making it alright out here. He blinked away some of the harsher rain drops. All he could do now was find shelter and wait out the rain. But how was he even supposed to do that? What in the world would protect him from the rain? Only thing he wished for at the moment was a nice warm blanket and master greeting him with love.

Svana slowed as she walked into the forest, she had explored it many times but still didnt like the fact that anyone could be lurking behind the trees. She trotted through, her head swiveling from side to side as she kept on the lookout. Maybe she would head to the other side of the forest or maybe she would find a cave. Though she always had the option of just plopping down beneath a tree and going back to her nap.

Though there was something ominous about this storm, it made her feel slightly paranoid, almost like it was out to get her. her eyes darted around wildly, putting on a burst of speed she ran through the woods, humans in white coats danced before her eyes carrying sharp needles walking towards her, smiling. It was panic, a hallucination brought on bye her panic and fear as she ran aimlessly.

The rain was falling harder then before making Striker feel more nervous then before. As he stood at the mouth of the forest he swore he could hear running. God was it a wild? Would he be dead? He might have had a fighting chance if there wasn't all this rain. He was a natural hunter and his human took him out to hunt things larger then him more then once. His biggest prey had been a bear and if he hadn't been so lucky with master he might have died. But the fight with the bear had been in the daylight. This was the complete opposite.

Again he picked up the sound of pawprints. Dear god he was dead. He'd never see master again. He'd never see his sister or ever go on another exciting hunt. This was it this was the end. His heart raced as he spun about wildly trying to hear the pawprints threw the pounding rain. He'd only have once chance. At least if it was a wild dog he could maybe pretend he was one of them...at least so he could make it back home alive...

"Who's there!?" He called out to the empty space of trees infront of him.

they were out there! the people in the white coats where out there and they were after her! She spun around in a panic a tormented expression upon her face as she heard the familiar yell and suddenly she realized what was going on, there was no one chasing her, but her brother was somewhere nearby. In her half crazed mind she grinned and snapped back,

"who do you think!" She sneered slowly padding past the trees looking for him, she had no idea was he was still living with the humans, but maybe he finally realized she was right all along. "you come to give up the life of a house pet?" she called.

Spinning about in his own state of shock almost didn't reconize his own sisters voice. But then when it finally hit him that it was her he sighed a gasp of relief. "No I'm lost. I came out here to find you- to make sure you were okie." He shook the droplets from his eyes.

"I wondered if this rain would um- you know...convince you to come back with me and master. The fire is awfully nice on a rainy night like this." He gave a small shiver and walked closer to her. He could now bearly make out her outline threw the heavy rain. "I mean after tonight- I couldn't see why you wouldn't want to come home." Again he gave another cold shiver. The days of being a house pet thinned his fur from living inside all the time. Not at all like the thick coat his sister probally had from the life outdoors.

"I mean-" He sneezed and shook his coat again. "I still love you- and wouldn't mind having my big sister back." He tried to smile but in the heavy rain nobody would be able to see a thing.

Svana chuckled watching him, "geez you sure are jumpy," she grinned before taking two steps towards him. "I'm fine don't worry about me... you should go back home," she snorted "that is if you remember where it is," she snickered before doing a full body shake that sent water droplets flying from her fur.

"I really don't understand how you can stand being cooped up in that place... though i suppose you'll understand why i left when they take you to the place with the white lab coats and the pointy objects..." She sneered before shuddering slightly at the thought of the lab coats. Narrowing her eyes she started circling him, "you look cold," she glanced away through the trees, "perhaps i should take you somewhere drier?" She turned hesitantly, what if he was being followed by people who were out to get her?

Her ears perked hearing his words before letting out a loud sigh, "oh come on don't get all sappy on me, if you really wanted you could come live with me in the wild."
