Okay so I have some really high notes in my part this year
(First trumpet. But in Concert Band not the good wind ensemble D: )
Anyways,
Im not very good at hitting thos notes above the staff and im not going to get them D:
And i look like an idiot because they always crack and sound bad.
So I heard of a 3F mouthpiece that makes these easy!
Will it make low notes hard to get though?
Is it still a good sound?
Would you recommend it?

A 3F is extremely shallow. I don't know if I'd ever play on something like that. Marching season just ended last week for me, so I've been using my 1 1/2C that I used in marching band for concert band until I can train myself to get used to the 3C again.

While it may help you reach the high notes, it might cause problems with your lower notes. The best thing to do I would say, is to stick somewhere around a 3C, or something to that effect, and just practice. Run scales up and down and just practice getting those high notes out, even if it hurts. If you practice them enough, you won't have to worry about switching mouthpieces.

Remember, it's not just about the high notes, it's about the music as a whole. Don't neglect a phrase or two of low notes for one or two high C's.

Also, you could ask your director for their opinion.
