For anyone who lives in or around the St. Louis area... the Grand Glaize library is having a little "writing discussion thingie".
Participants have to be 16 or older, which I am. However, they must also bring a work in progress for the other people to critique. Which I have none.
Which sucks. So I have to write something good in under 7 hours. Have any of you ever dealt with deadlines like this??

Is there any specific topic you have to write on? Or does it just have to be something personal?

I don't know what you mean by personal.. if you mean like, original, written by you, then yeah it has to be, but... no, there's no specific topic. If there WAS, i could've written it by now. maybe i'll just bring something old.. but i wanted to do something new... agh.

I tend to turn in college papers early so I can get the heads-up if they suck.

JenniferStarling I tend to turn in college papers early so I can get the heads-up if they suck. That's a very good idea... but it doesn't work when you think you had an extra week to write something and it turns out that it's due the next day. Or, worse, the very SAME day you find out about it.

I seem to write better when i'm stressed to complete it soon. It dosent give me time to think it through, so what I write down is the pure thoughts in my mind. Which is very interesting because its weird. My train of mind I guess.

Aaaah, deadlines tend to always live up to their names... crying I think that if you've ever wanted to write something, always, and never have, now's a good time to start it. Of course, you DID say that you don't have any ideas... but maybe when you were a kid, you wanted to write something, but as a child you... couldn't? sweatdrop Eh, forgive me; I'm bad at the whole giving-advice thing.

... and then my parents decide not to let me go, because they suck.
I hate being a minor.
