"You were wincing with pain!" Eri'del exclaimed back in return. "How do you call that fine? Maybe you've been used to it," Judging from all the scars on your body, she mused quietly, before continuing, "But you really shouldn't insist on not going to see a Djardi." Her brows knotted in concern as she patted her gently on the back, and was pleased when the Ursari leaned on her.

It was good that she didn't protest much, she mused, helping the limping Ba'al along. She had been so abrupt and sudden with deciding to drag the girl to a healer...she hadn't stopped to consider that she held weapons and her supposedly stubborn attitude.

Oh well. She grinned, helping the other along step by step, often glancing worriedly at Tahlri's injured leg. If only she was stronger, she could probably carry her on her back, Eri'del mused. Though she had a sneaking suspicion the Ba'al would probably be more, much more stronger than her, both mentally and physically.

Huffing Tahlri shot a dirty look at Eri'del as she adjusted her grip on her sword before trying her best to settle the sheathed blade back at its place on her hip. A difficult task with one hand but not completely impossible. "I can take care of myself you know." She muttered not at all liking the closing proximity of the Djardi caravan.

There were other healers in the caravan, other healers meaning she didn't have to deal with that one in particular...unless of course those other healers decided it would be better to ship her off to him and if that was the case...well there was going to be hell in Djardi. Whether she was injured or not.

The pain had taken to going deceptively dull for brief moments before it flared up again, and with each flare up Tahlri grew more and more aware of the fact that her annoyance at being dragged to a healer was waning and she was actually growing comfortable in this one's company. Which was odd in itself because she'd just met Eri'del and that was one thing...she never got overly friendly with anyone she'd recently met. Sure she'd flirt like there was no tomorrow but that was it.

End of RP 1
Healing in progress~ ;D
PostPosted: Thu Nov 13, 2008 5:57 am

"Well now." The Aishe chirped after the healing was over and the two were left alone; the Djardi had left to get...something. She wasn't exactly very clear what it was; possibly some healing stuff, herbs, or potions of the like. "That wasn't so bad now, was it?"

While waiting, Eri'del found herself humming a gentle tune, one that flowed quite well with the melody she had been stuck with. It was strange that inspiration had struck her right after helping Tahlri; doing good deeds did wonders, it seemed! She had slipped a paper out of the pouch around her waist and proceeded to take the notes down before her memory was unkind enough to make her forget. It wouldn't do, after all, to stay up and try and recall the tune when she had to make use of the remaining time she had to weave the notes into the tapestry, which wasn't a quick task. Her eyes had consistently darted upwards, hoping the scraping of the pen against the paper wasn't loud enough to distract the healer.

"I really don't know why you objected so strongly against this." She murmured, green eyes resting on the Ba'al and grinned, before they were distracted by the potions held in bottles of different sizes and shapes, clearly fascinated.

The answering mutter from Tahlri was groggy and more than a little incoherent. Why had she objected against a healing? Easy! The grogginess the potions always brought on, made her feel vulnerable and that feeling was not one she liked. Of course that was likely to be because it was simply a Ba'al trait...or quite possibly just a Tahlri trait, she didn't know which and she didn't care.

Shaking her head to clear it, she fought down a yawn trying her best to ignore the overly cheerful Eri'del. It wasn't working. Finally she buried her face into the pillows and groaned. "When you get drugged up like this you'll understand why." her words were muffled and she didn't bother to lift her head as the healer slipped back into the room. So she'd escaped her most adamant tormentor or at least she'd escaped him as far as healing was concerned, that didn't mean he couldn't pop up at any moment and start pestering her.

Feeling a gentle prodding at her ankle she lifted her head, scowling at the Djardi before looking away. More healing things, more bandages, more scars no doubt. Letting her gaze wander around the room, she shook her head snorting softly as she saw what had suddenly caught the Aishe's attention. "Those aren't that interesting you know." she said instantly regretting it as the Djardi made it a point to tug harder on the bandages drawing a hiss from the Ba'al.

Damn these healers were vengeful things.

"But..." Eri'del replied, tilting her head to the side as she finished writing the last note with a flourish of the pen, and replaced the stationery back into the pouch. "I have been healed before." Her voice was now subdued, rather quiet. The pain was something she didn't exactly want to go through again; she blamed it on herself for being so clumsy though. Still, she was fine now, and now Tahlri would be! As quickly as the smile faded, she plastered it back on her face.

Hopefully the drowsy Ba'al wouldn't notice. Not that it really mattered if someone she barely knew saw the change in her facial expression, right? Then again, she believed in always being happy and looking forward. There was only one life to live, and there was no use moping or regretting anything!

"Oh, they are!" She piped up merrily. "I mean, all these potions have their own unique uses... I can only wonder what they can do." She peered at one, deciding not to indulge her fidgeting curiosity and touch it, lest it broke. The bottles seemed pretty fragile...and if she got another scolding, Raina would possibly hear of it...and have her head. "It's always nice to learn about new things after all. Songs were made to express different emotions, to praise so many things; objects, scenery, Ursaris..." She trailed off with a dreamy smile on her face. "It's why I like creating songs so much. They're so versatile; the words, the melody!"

Choosing to ignore the momentary lapse in the Aishe's usually smiling visage, Tahlri instead focused on working the kinks from her shoulders as the Djardi tied off the bandage. Whatever it was Eri'del didn't want to talk about it and she wouldn't press her about it. Tahlri knew how to respect other's privacy, after all.

Life was one big game, she mused working out a particularly tricky knot in one shoulder, the more you lived the more fun you were supposed to have. Which was why she'd taken to such an...interesting stance concerning friends and the like. Flirt like there was tomorrow and never get caught up with anyone.

Snorting softly at the Aishe's wandering brain she shook her head and tugged her legs under her as the Djardi finally finished her task and began packing up the additional healing supplies that had been brought out.

"You children should be more careful." The Djardi was muttering as she re-rolled the bandages and set them back into the bag. "Particularly you Ba'al." Waving a vial of some unknown liquid at Tahlri she shook her head retreating to place the various vials back on the shelves.

"You two have been bantering back and forth ever since you stepped in here..." There was a rustling coming from where the ursari was and Tahlri almost scowled at the comment though the next one killed whatever retort she had had in mind. "...you'd swear you two were mated."

Tahlri's mind had wandered off at the comment and right now...her brain was having a hard time grasping the concept even as the older ursari left them to themselves once again. How...who...what?! How had that old Djardi even come up with that theory? The thought of being mated to someone in itself scared the holy hell out of her, but to be mated to and thus stuck with someone like Eri'del... "M-mated?!" the word came out as little more than a squeak and the Ba'al shook her head drawing her legs up further. No, no, no...that Djardi was just crazy...too much time around the herbs maybe. Oh yes...that was it, too much time around the herbs and thus too much time to contemplate things to say to unnerve the clients.

"It was just a moment of clumsiness." Eri'del shot the Djardi a sheepish grin, swinging her legs back and forth, her hands now gripping either side of the chair she sat on. And it was because of so that Raina deemed her "unworthy of learning the art of dance". It turned out quite well though, when they discovered she loved to come up with tunes, songs the others could sing along to, songs they could dance to.

"Eeeeh?" The Aishe paled at the comment, eyes widening with confusion as her legs halted in mid-air. Mated? Her...and Tahlri? She barely knew the girl! Her green eyes wandered to where the Ba'al was, shooting her a questioning look.

But, she barely knew her...and yet had been so worried! And quite nosy in her troubles as well, come to think of it. Plus, she was trying to curb her curiosity before it got out of hand and had been doing quite well, so why did she act differently around the Ba'al, and insist on her coming here? She frowned slightly as she contemplated the possibility, turning to look at the Djardi. "Y...you're just joking right?" There was a slight blush gracing her cheeks as she spoke and she fiddled with the bells on the skirt, avoiding her gaze from Tahlri.

Sticking her head around the shelves for a moment, the Djardi regarded the pair calmly before shaking her head with a smile. "Denial...is a powerful thing, don't you think?" Chuckling at the still stunned look on the Ba'al's face and the blush on the Aishe's she returned to restocking the shelves. "

Denial? Denial of what exactly? Tahlri's mind was screaming at her to move or rather say something intelligent but all the poor shocked Ba'al could manage was gaping and on occasion sputtering neither of which ranked high on the intelligence scale. But who could blame her really? A Djardi had just up and pretty much all but pronounced them mates! Which for all the oddness had left Tahlri's brain numb but not fully appalled.

Why was she not appalled at that concept? She barely even knew this bubbly girl and normally that was more than enough reason to feel appalled at such a thing. Maybe it was the numbness, the feeling of utter nothingness as the Djardi passed her field of vision once again. Oh yes, numbness could do a lot for a person...and one of the things was helping her ignore the blush she could see on Eri'del's face and the tinkling bells from the other ursari's skirt.

"I...it's not something that should be joked with..." The Aishe mumbled, feeling as though the Djardi had barged through her mind like a loose cannon, leaving it cluttered and her, very confused. It was lucky then, she mused, that she had already written it down beforehand, and patted the pouch at her waist.

The happiness and relief from finishing her task (Well, almost) had almost faded though, thanks to the words of the healer, and Eri'del was all for going home and curling up in a corner while sulking and worrying about this.

They were all taking this seriously. It wasn't a joke.

"You are okay now, right?" She spoke up after a long pause, leaving her seat and moving to where the Ba'al was and sat on a nearby pillow. "What...do you think about this?" She whispered to Tahlri, all the while staring blankly at the ceiling. The poor girl's mind was in such a whirl that she had stopped admiring all the bottles and paraphernalia around.

Shaking her head, Tahlri finally forced some sort of conscious thought into it forcing her jaw shut and then finally forcing herself to drag her gaze away from the Djardi as Eri'del moved over to where she was.

"I think...we need to leave." A simple statement, the only thing her addled mind could come up with without the wheels actually fully turning. Oh yes...leaving sounded wonderful...very very wonderful.

With that in mind she struggled to her feet, swaying for a moment before grabbing her blade and heading for the door. Away from this insane Djardi healer and if possible away from Eri'del too. Yes...away from it all and then she could just head home, curl up in bed and pretend it was nothing more than a pretty little dream that never happened.

Because dreams usually had all these things right? Insane healers...random moments of a fleeing brain and infuriatingly adorable girls...

It took a while before her brain actually registered what the Ba'al had said; Eri'del had been still lost in her thoughts. "Leave?" She echoed, her eyes still fixated on the ceiling.

Wait, leave? She blinked as the words settled in. "You can't...shouldn't leave! You're still drowsy, aren't you?" She turned her head to shoot an questioning look Tahlri's way, and immediately scrambled up when there was no Ursari in sight, and realized how stubborn she really was.

"You should at least rest a bit!" She exclaimed, hurrying after the dark skinned Ursari, watching her stumbling steps with apprehension. Eri herself remembered being drugged when she had been hurt...it wasn't one of her best experiences, but at least she listened and rested where she was.

"Or at least," She ventured, catching up with Tahlri, falling into step with her. "Let me help you home?" The girl was somewhat her responsibility after all, she had dragged her here in the first place.

Limping and pretty much using all her energy to simply stay upright, Tahlri merely huffed when Eri'del appeared at her shoulder. She didn't need anyone to help her home, she was stubborn enough to hop home on one leg and her will. That was after all what had kept her going with more serious injuries.

Drowsiness was no excuse for sitting still for far too long, that was merely a hindrance to her usual busy body lifestyle. "I'll be fine." Huffing again as she stumbled her legs almost giving out, and her hand reached out instinctively to grasp the Aishe's arm in an attempt at steadying herself. Though the moment she realized just what she was doing, she released Eri'del with a murmured apology, the faint stirrings of a blush coloring her cheeks.

Why was it, that this Ursari in particular had managed to slip through everyone of her personal barriers? And worst...how had she managed it so easily? That old Djardi couldn't possibly be right, could she?
PostPosted: Fri Nov 14, 2008 7:44 am

"Says you." Eri'del frowned, peering at her worriedly, keeping close just in case anything happened. "You like to say that a lot." It wasn't a surprise when Tahlri grabbed her arm; she knew it would happen sooner or later.

Though the Ba'al decided to be stubborn yet again and let go. She sighed. Why was she so worried anyway? She felt like a mother nagging at a child, and while she did care for the people around her, she hadn't been this...annoying in a 'I care for you' way. How strange. Eri'del was starting to think that what the Djardi said could be a possibility...

But, no! Why? Why this Ba'al? They had absolutely nothing in common! She herself was a singer of sorts, and a clumsy one at that, while the other was a graceful yet dangerous dancer. Tahlri was stubborn and a little grumpy, and she was curious and optimistic.

Besides, didn't Baba mention a Thetana? Or was the old Ursari just fooling with her?

"You're not really taking what she said seriously, are you?" She plastered a fake smile on her face, taking one of Tahlri's arms with a grin. "Come on, I'll send you home...I brought you here anyway. Besides, I do need to hurry back too, y'know!" Before Master Raina kills me, she added silently. For staying out late with my task unfinished.
