.{S}tormy {C}ircumstances. It was a dreadful night in the forest past the pumpkin patch. Dark clouds hid the shimmering moon, leaving the earth below under a black blanket. Rain tore down from the sky, flooding the rivers and streams. Thunder rolled and clashed, whilst lightning glowed violently through the otherwise somber sky. The wind howled and screamed mercilessly through the trees. Most smart creatures would be hiding away from the storm....
But to a certain orange akuma, It was the perfect night to go scaring the skin off of some dimwitted travellers.
Akkei sat up on a branch on a thick old tree, green eyes glowing in the darkness. He had scared a pair of teens on their way to their home, a man who was 'taking a short cut', three rabbits, one fox, and a group of 'courageous kids'. So far, evrything had gone wonderfully. He only wanted one more successful scare, and then he swore he'd turn in for the night...
Even though he didn't have anywhere to go.
All the same, there was still one more spook for the night. The akuma's orange pelt looked glossy from all of the rain. No doubt he was going to be sick in the morning. The akuma shrugged it off, shrinking down so he could pounce at the right time. Anymoment now, a poor fool would stumble along and Akkei would give him the spook of his life! Akkei's grinning pattern was stretched wide as he stayed still, silent in the darkness.

Mars kept his head down, his eyes on the ground as he walked. The skin he wore looked alive, moving with Mars's body through the pumpkin patched, it looked as if this white wolf was stalking something, or someone. Mars felt strange today. Sick almost. He hadn't had this feeling since... He shook the memory from his mind. He didn't want to think of that poor child. A pumpkin rolled over as he kicked it absentmindedly before walking out into the first few treas of the forest.

Akkei heard a noise through the bushes, and he beamed like the cheshire cat. He silently shifted position in order to trun, glowing eyes on his prey. A wolf! Oh, and a white one at that. Wolves were so fun to pester. They were awfully proud after all, and because of this scaring them made them into blubbering puddles that always whined 'please don't tell anyone!!'. Akkei chuckled to himself. Hopefully this wolf wouldn't attack him, though. He did look kind of big....
Yeah, he hadn't noticed the creature underneath said pelt yet. He shifted, the rain pounding down on him as he readied to scare the skin off of this poor wolf. Once the dog was close enough, Akkei leapt, an ear splitting cry tearing from his throat as he landed in front of the wolf, only to find...
It was an akuma?!

The attacker found himself getting a clawed paw to the face- a warning swipe, with no real damage. For a moment, it looked like his eyes were glowing red until he shifted. Mars was staring at the sprightly jack male with anger and sorrow. After a few moments under his harsh gaze, the Mars spoke softly. "You shouldn't jump at folks like that. You're likely to get hurt."
His voice seemed kind of dead, tired maybe. No trace of fear in his masked face nor in his voice. But what was that... pitty?

Akkei yelped as he was suddenly swatted, falling back on his orange little butt. He blinked stupidly....
Huh?
He stared at the akuma before him. Did he just tell him off? He blinked, unfazed by the akuma's momentary glare. Glares and scourning didn't spook Akkei. After a moment of silence, Akkei's brows came together.
"Errr... Are you alright?" he asked, looking into the other's eyes, "I mean, most people shout and run.... You don't look alright." the rain was pounding down on the both of them. Maybe this guy was sick?
"Err, I don't know yuo, and you don't know me, but you aren't looking well, and I don't want to be the one to blame if you're ill. Come on." he tugged the other's tail, pulling him away from the tree. Now, where could they go that was dry?

Mars was about to tell the other male that he was never going to be alright. Nothing would ever be alright again. But before he got a word out, the orange male had Mars's tail in his mouth and tugged, urging him to follow.
In no mood for another fight, he simply pulled away slightly to follow. Walking backwards wasn't really his strong point.
"No one would blame you if I fell ill on my own accord."

Akkei found that the other had pulled away, but still seemed to be following him. He quirked an eyebrow at the comment, but otherwise said nothing. He'd stil feel bad. Which was odd, because Akkei didn't feel bad about anything. He wondered through the forest, glancing longingly at his patch, but knew there was no dry places there. That's when it hit him.
The old bear den!
Akkei took a sharp turn, skipping to a tree which had been unrooted on one side, he looked back to make sure the other was following, before slipping under the roots. Inside was a hollowed out cavern, the walls being made up of roots and earth. Akkei shook his fur dry, before giving the other some room. It was.... Cozy, to say the least.
"I suppose I should introduce myself.... My name is Akkei, and I'm from the Chaos clan... Kinda. Errrr.... So-sorry for jumping you." he gave the other an almost sweet smile, although it was ruined by his pattern, "What's your name?" my, now that he looked at the other, he was kinda...
A babe.

"Mars." He replied softly. He seemed cool, collected. His tone was smooth and almost satiny. "You really shouldn't try to scare others." If he had taken a different tone, it would have seemed like Mars was scolding Akkei, but instead it sounded more like a warning or sound advice. Mars didn't bother shaking off his fur. It didn't seem to matter to him. When Mars turned his eyes to Akkei, for a split second he looked evil, sinister, but then the flash of malice was gone and his soft, kind blue eyes.
"Why would you be out in this kind of weather anyways?" he asked as the water from his white pelt started to make tiny pools on the ground.

Akkei smiled. Mars. That was a cool name for a cool looking guy... "Why? Well, I...." he cut off for a moment. Why was he outside, other than to scare people. It had to go deeper than that. 'I was out because spooking people is what I do' didn't seem like it would work for this guy....
"I.... I guess I really don't have anything else to do. I don't have anywhere I can really go, or anyone that I can see or would want to see me, so I suppose..... It's just what I do I guess." he ended on a sad note, gently sitting down. His ears folded back gently, and he glanced away.
He really hated talking about himself. He was a loner, with no family he was aware of, no real home except for the pumpkin patch, and no one to care for him and no one for him to care for in return. He sighed, gently, before realizing he'd been awkwardly quiet, and looked back up, "Ah, sorry! I'm such a scatter brain.... Hey, have you eaten yet? Because I can totally go catch us some grub if you're hungry... I mean, you probably want to catch your own, but..... Ah..." he simply left the question hanging, head quirked to the side like a pup.

"Perhaps if you didn't frighten people..." Mars trailed off, the hint of a teasing smile playing at his lips. "Tis a sad day when one has no one. I'm alone. But I choose to, lest I hurt others." He tried not to think about what he had done to the poor human child and shuddered a little. His mind then drifted to the 2 younger Akuma who enjoyed calling him father, and again smiled faintly. Try as he might, they wouldn't leave him alone.
"Some day... you'll find someone. That one you care for, who will care for you as well. You're still young; have patience." Mars shuddered a little. The ripple going from his shoulders to his hips. "Grubs?" He tilted his head to the side. "Is there no other substance near the patch then the unearthed insects?" He misunderstood.
