*Special note* -- Roddik has a 10 minute memory... he does not actually know most of what is in this form.

*Even special-er note* -- When the doors and village mask were being created... I'm taking liberties here and assuming that it wasn't just a mass drain on the powers of the Daewls, but rather that the fact that the Daewls HAD powers allowed Soyala to take from them what she needed. I speculate that she took protection from the bravest, and stability from the strongest... so on and so forth, draining each jivvin of something diffrent but needed, and it was this 'taking of their individual strengths' that killed them. (how does a jivvin who is truly brave live long after his braveness is depleted). Roddik was in among the daewls willingly giving power, and because what he did best was reamin calm and assertive knowing exactly who and what he was, Soyala took from him 'memory' and 'identity' for the doors so that people would be able to remain themselves after traveling through them, and 'purpose' for the mask in the village so that people would turn away, not remembering where they were headed when they started. Once Soyala had taken 'identity' and 'purpose' it was almost like Roddik had dissapeared. You could see him and talk to him, but it became difficult to place him in memories and situations once he left. It was almost as if people's brains denied that he existed for them, not having an identiy or purpose as a label. Once those three traits had been taken, Soyala seemed not to notice him and didn't take from him as much as she did all the others. When they were done, everyone wandered of, and him among them.

I don't know that Soyala remembers him completely, that's up to you Moo, but I know that he doesn't remember her, and would make an excellent spy since noone would be able to really remember him... also someone who had a good ability with brains could use him, since he's not using his brain to store memories, someone else might be able to. And even then, people in taverns and other places wouldn't notice him usually, and wouldn't remember that he'd been there.... and he'd never know that he'd been used. He's also about as loyal and laid back as they come.

As for him still being alive, he's much older in physicality than Soyala and is deffintely on the decline because of the 'funneling' but he only had three traits removed, and the removal of 'memory' took the pressure off of him, and he's much more relaxed not knowing that he's much less effective now. I'm thinking that it was partially the knowledge of their lessened situations that helped kill the Dawels from the old days.

Full name:: Roddik (Due to the fact that he doesn't have 'identity' anymore it takes a great deal of effort on his part to remember his own name. )
Reasons for the name(s):: His bond in the castle gave it to him when he was hatched.
Date of Birth/Apparent Age/Approximate Age:: Roddik is old. He had been with Lembic (his bond) since the man was about 30. Lembic lived to an old age before the masacres started. As far as Daewls go, he's one of the oldest now, though in comparrison to other massacre and castle born jivvins he's not old at all... the difference is that he really really looks it... the amount of power and life he gave to make the doors aged him more in a physical sense than normal... Like a thin santa with a well trimmed beard.
If they were alive during the masacres, were they bonded? To whom? He was bonded to Lembic, an alchemist of the caslte. An older man with no real interest in anything except science and magics. The Alchemist was given a Daewl by a high standing lord, because of the magics present in the rank, but became dissatisfied with Roddik's lack of impressive magical traits. He never treated Roddik badly, but let the jivvin grow in his 'care' being mostly ignored and treated like a talking dog. Roddik was taught to help in the workshop with mild tasks and fire tending and such, but was never thought of as family or scribe or anything more than 'pet'. When the masacres happened, his master released his bond out of fear that if the jivvin were to be killed, he too would die. Roddik was cut out into the forest as a young adult daewl with no goodbye or anything. He found later in life that he thoroughly enjoyed his new found freedom.

If they are Daewl, what is thier one power?:: He has the ability to manifest music from nowhere, and inspire others to play at his whim. Sadly his singing voice doesn't hold up all that well, tending to be more spoken and scratchy.
Skin Tone:: Pale and Pasty. Wrinkles where they count, in the corners of his eyes and mouth, in his forehead. He's very happy always.
Height:: 5'11"
Weight/Body Build:: He's thin and mildly muscular for an old guy.
Hair:: White/grey with black undertones. Used to be Black.

Ear colours/markings:: Dark Grey and Black ears no real markings

Peculiar Physical Traits:: He has several scars and normal injuries consistant to a jivvin of his age.
Distinguishing Marks:: none really. He's quite unremarkable.
Health:: He's old. Not only in physical age, but also in the fact that he was partially funneled into the magic of the forest and doors.
Senses:: average. He's got great hearing though.
Voice:: deep and scratchy. Everything he says is spoken from the heart.
Mannerisms:: He's a laid back, hands in his pockets kind of guy.
Clothes/shoes/accessories:: Normal leather breeks, boots and white shirt with lace up collar.
Eating habits/mannerisms/tastes:: He, honestly, doesn't have a care in the world about what he eats.



Occupation/Social Status in Rank:: He has no social status due to his past. Before the creation of the doors and forest maskings, he was a mildly highstanding individual in the Daewl ranks... mostly because he could be trusted and was completely honest in all things... not because he was powerful.
Views on Rank responsibilites:: He's way too laid back. His brain tells him that there's nothing to worry about, so he doesn't worry. This includes the rank responsibilites. The last thing he can truly remember is all the Daewls funneling their powers into the forest maskings and door, so he honestly thinks that all is always well. Thus there is no responsibilities.
Education/ Intelligence:: He was very intielligent before, and is so now, but he can't keep anything in mind for longer than ten minutes once his situation changes (i.e. the person he's talking to leaves, or he turns his attention to something else.)
Marital Status:: currently single. He's dated a lot though. He's a great one night stand if you can remember him.
Political Thoughts/ Views of Ranks and Vhaid:: He's of an old school mind. Ranks are deffinite, Daewls really run things, Vhaids are goofy figureheads that are great for a beer and a laugh.

What is his/ her usual disposition?:: Calm. Slightly misty in the head when it comes to everything. He's the guy who steps out of a cabin and says 'now what did I come out here for?'

Confident/Self-conscious? :: Confident. He can't remember ever failing anything.
How does he/she feel about his/her appearance? :: He hasn't looked at his reflection in years and years. He knows what his tail looks like and apparently he does a good job of keeping his hair short.
Most important possession:: metal collar put on him by his master in the old days. One of the few things that he remembers now. He NEVER wears it.
Talents :: Roddik can manifest music and seems to have a good talent to matching it to the mood of his setting. He isn't a really good singer but that certainly doesn't stop him.
What is a normal day like for this Jivvin?:: Roddik has no 'normal' days... he can't remember what he's done or was going to do from one ten minute interval to another. He does have a cabin that he got before he lost his memory but it's VERY sparsely furnished because he never thinks to get things for it.
What is a normal rainy day like for this Jivvin?:: Same.
Greatest Fear:: Being taken back into captivity by humans.
What do they want most?:: He wants to be married/life bonded.

Significant Other/Relationship:: Roddik has been with many over the years, never really thinking more of it. While bonded he was bred twice, and in the brief time after when he was free (that he can remember) he took many into his bed, but only other daewls since his master had raised him to be 'pure'. His favourite 'bedding' was Soyala... then the forest was magic'd and he lost his memory. Since then he's been with many, and can remember only three women since then... he thinks of them all as separate jivvins (The rain, the white rose, and winter are the ways that he associates them in his head.) but the irony is that they're all Soyala... and the only reason he can even remember her slightly is because he knew her before, and the inability to create new memories keeps him from associating her actual personality with those three nights. That being said, he doesn't think about Soyala all the time, but when he does see her she piques his interest more than others because she's a clearer shadow in his head.
Who does he/she live with?:: He lives by himself in the small, unruly cabin that he lived in at the start.
Who does he/she spend the most time with?:: Anyone who happens across him. Mostly himself.
Father/Relationship with him/Rank/Current Status:: His father figure would be Lembic, the alchemist from the old days. He liked the man but had no real respect for him after the massacres.
Mother/Relationship with her/Rank/Current Status:: He never really had a mother figure, though several took care of him, and helped him see the advantage to being a free unbonded creature after the massacres.
Siblings/Ranks/Current Status:: Two siblings, both Daewl, both dead, one during the massacres, one before of a sickness.
Best Friend/Rank/Current Status:: No friends... he can't remember them from day to day. He doesn think about several of his rank from before the incident, and doesn't quite know that they're dead.
Feelings toward animals:: He respects them, but will kill, skin, and eat them should he feel the need.
How does he/she view their family?:: He thought that he loved Lembic, but realized later that he only had a fearful respect for the man.
How does he/she view their friends?:: He thinks very highly of all of them... and doesn't realize that they've been dead for hundreds of years.
How does their family view them?:: He has no family left that he knows of. He never heard anything of the first or second breeding after they happened.
How do their friends view them?:: If his friends could remember him, they'd like him a lot. He's a good guy with a great personality.
Who is their hero?:: He would say that every jivvin who managed to get free in the massacres is his hero.

Reasons for the name(s):: Moni (his bond in the castle) named him that when she got him for her fifth birthday. He goes by 'Prince' to his rank and other jivvins, and 'Fluff' to the lucky few that are allowed to call him their friend.

Apparent Age/Approximate Age:: He looks between 35 and 45 years old... but he's been around since 20 years before the masacres started.
If he/she was alive during the masacres, was he/she bonded? To whom? He was bonded to Moni, the middle child of a duke that lived in the castle. Moni recieved Fluffy's egg two days before her fifth birthday, and they were the closest of companions until a raid on the castle when she 'released' him. Moni died later that very day at the age of 23.

Skin Tone/Apparent Race:: He's white. Pale with freckles, very scandinavian... I do believe that his younger brother was described as 'cracker'.
Height:: He's an average tall. He's just tall enough to be 3 inches taller than the girl of his dreams...
Weight/Body Build:: He's built like prince charming... seriously. He's a good looking dude.
Hair:: Short, and somewhere between blonde and red... well kept, clean, combed, and out of the way.... short mostly.
Eyes:: He's got blue eyes, just like his brother.
Ear colours/markings:: He's got blue ears with lighter blue and grey markings... pattern is not important as long as it's not overpowering.
Tail colours/markings:: His tail is a gradient dark blue to lighter blue to grey to white. ... make sense? And once again, there could be markings, but they're not important as long as they're minimal.
Peculiar Physical Traits:: Nothing really... he doesn't stand out all that much because he'd rather not.
Distinguishing Marks:: He's handsome? He'll have the normal scrapes and scars of a man who's been working as a soldier for many hundred's of years, but nothing that sets him apart really.
Health:: He's got great health. The man works out everyday, and eats well.
Senses:: Normal in the long run, though as a Sargtlin he's learned to watch and listen better than he used to.
Voice:: Again... think Prince charming.
Mannerisms:: He stands up straight and tall, never fidgits or worries, he's all about projecting an air of confidence and calm, and wants others to think that he always knows what to do.
Clothes/shoes/accessories:: He wears the simple clothing suited to a man of his rank. Nothing too showy, everything clean and simple.
Eating habits/mannerisms/tastes:: He really likes food. He loves to cook and figure out new recipies, though that doesn't seem to be one of his talents... just a hobby.



Occupation/Social Status in Rank:: Fluff is a Sargtlin Captain. As far as status go, I'd say he's gotten pretty darn high in the ranks... having been a member of the village since it's creation, he's had a lot of practice, and made finally made captain about ninty years ago, under the tutoring of Lysius. He's done his best to do his best ever since the day he first swung a sword in a battle.
Views on Rank responsibilites:: He's sargtlin through and through, follows orders and does as he's told. He'll step into a fight to protect others without question, and has a great head for giving orders in a tight situation. Fluff's had to learn to be gruff and solid as a person in order to overcome the unfortunate name that Moni gave him... and he's come to regard that as a perfect example of the responsibilites of his rank. Sargtlins should be able to stand tall in all situations and remain calm and useful for the Vhaid and village, in order that they might best serve the cause (whatever that might be at the time)
Education/ Intelligence:: He's educated. Both book smarts from growing up with Moni and attending lessons with her, and in Sargtlin training. I won't say he's super smart, but he gets by in a scrape and has the advantage of common sense on his side.
Marital Status:: Single. And so far his job takes up all his time, so he doesn't even date much.
Where does he/she live?:: He lives in a small cabin near the arena. It's only got a livingroom/kitchen, a bedroom, and a bathroom.
Political Thoughts/ Views of Ranks and Vhaid:: His views of ranks other than his own vary... Being raised in the castle alongside the daughter of a duke, he learned to respect royalty merely for the fact that they were royalty. He views the Vhaids as the rightful rules, the royals as their sniveling counterparts who were to be repected but watched. He respects Afyas as the healers and scholars he's always found them to be, and would trust their judgement and advice in most situations. As far as Uuthlis go, he regards them the same as Sargtlins only with the tactical advantage of flight, and the dissadvantage of being lighter and easier to hurt.
Beliefs/ Values/ Strength of Beliefs:: He believes in love, family, honor, justice, responsibility... all the usual upstanding beliefs. Though when it comes to family, he holds himself partially responsible for the deaths of Moni and her siblings, and he regards Kamin as his responsibility since he's the older brother. He's a little standoffish when it comes to love because he doesn't have anyone anymore that hasn't been hurt or killed in some way over the years. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't believe in it.
What is his/her usual disposition?:: He usually has a stern but amiable temperment. He's cheerful and easy going, but never buddy-buddy. He'll be the first to stop a fight in a tavern, or give a glare at uncouth behavior.
Optimist/ Pessimist? :: He's a realist. Things are what they are for whatever reasons. There's no changing truth.
Confident/Self-conscious? :: He's confident, through and through. He's handsome and smart, with a solid personality and a brother who loves him. In fact even his name doesn't bother him, because he views it as one of the things that has made him strong over the years... he actually really likes his name, and goes by 'Prince' to his rank and 'Fluff' to the lucky few that are allowed to call him their friend.
How does he/she feel about his/her appearance? :: He likes it. He likes the fact that he's handsome and always keeps himself well groomed so that he might appear more 'in control' to those around him. He also likes the fact that he can see a similarity between Kamin and himself... it makes him feel that no matter what happens, he's part of a set, him and his brother... he'll never be alone and it's a good mental tether.
Most important possession:: He doens't really have one. Moni was always more conerned with adventures than material posessions, so she never really gave him anything before she died... and he's been so content in working at his soldiering and leadership skills since then that he doesn't own all that many things. If asked he'd say that his most important posession is a memory... any memory of himself, Moni, Jaque and Kamin as children back in the castle days.
Talents :: He's a great soldier, and a loving brother. He'd make a great family man. Other than that he doesn't do much. Anytime he gambles he loses, anytime he cooks he manages to burn something, and anytime he dates, he's too reserved to make a good connetion.
What is a normal day like for this Jivvin?:: He's a captain within the Sargltin ranks. That means early mornings, with a shower and some good personal hygiene, and a personal workout. Then he attends to his rank duties in the form of training and patroling, reporting to various superiors and then home again for dinner. He almost always eats by himself, unless he's had the missfortune of having to rescue Kamin from one of the younger jivvin's exploits... then it goes without saying that Kamin's invited to dinner.
What is a normal rainy day like for this Jivvin?:: The rain stops for no jivvin, and Fluff stops for no rain.
Greatest Fear:: He has the same fears as his younger brother... that he'll come to love and depend on someone and they'll be killed. Right now that circles Kamin only, since Moni's been dead for centuries.
What does he/she want most?:: He want's to be who he is, and in that respect he's doing pretty good. He also would like to see Kamin become a more productive member of society, though he doesn't have high hopes for that.

Significant Other/Relationship:: He's single currently, though I assume he dates intermitently. Over the last several hundred years, I'm sure he's been with many women, just not found that 'special bond'.
Who does he/she live with?:: He lives alone, but only because he got tired of Kamin's 'social habits' at all hours of the day, and made sure that the younger jivvin was set up on his own.
Who does he/she spend the most time with?:: He spends the most time with the other captains of the Sargtlin and Uuthli ranks, and then with Kamin when the younger man 'drops' by... usually in search of money or food.
Father/Relationship with him/Rank/Current Status:: Fluff and Kamin never knew their real father, but they did have a father figure in thier lives, and that was the stren and imposing Father of Moni and Jaque. Though the Duke was often traveling on royal business, when he was in the house he expected the children and 'pets' to be upstanding and well behaved people. Moni wasn't the oldest child, but she was the oldest girl and a full 10 years younger than her older brother. This prompted her to be as well behaved as possible and drove her to strive for her father's approval and attentions... Fluff, being bonded to Moni, felt the same way about the man.
Mother/Relationship with her/Rank/Current Status:: Again, Kamin and Fluff never new their real mother, though thier mother figure would have been the handmaiden that took care of the duke's two daughters. The woman was kind and loving, and kept all the Duke's children in line. She was a fine 'mother figure'.
Siblings/Ranks/Current Status:: Fluff has a younger brother who hatched the day after he did. Kamin is also a Sargtlin, and was given to Moni's younger sister (Jaque) in order that the younger girl wouldn't feel left out. Because of the 2 year age differences between Moni and Jaque, the two brothers also see themselves as older and younger, even though they're only 21 hours apart. Kamin and Fluff have gotten along all throughout their lives, with Kamin being the goofy little brother, and Fluff telling him what to do and making sure Kamin was okay. When Moni and Jaque were 21 and 23, the castle was raided and the two girls realized that if something happened to them, Kamin and Fluff would both die... so the girls 'released' them, and told them to escape. A mere few weeks after Kamin and Fluff joined with the wilds, Kamin was injured and suffered a broken back and complete lower body paralization. After LOTS of healings and physial therapy work, Kamin can now walk with the use of leg braces. Though the many years of being useless has bred the younger Jivvin to rely on his charm and social status to get what he wants.
Best Friend/Rank/Current Status:: Fluff's best friend would be Kamin, since he would do (and has done) anything for his brother, though Fluff really does get along with the other captains. He's good friends with several women, inluding Caitrione, Satou and other respectable fighting woman... all for differing indivuidual reasons.
Feelings toward animals:: They don't concern him. He does eat them though.
How does he/she view his/her family?:: Kamin is the only thing that Fluff has to remind him of the days when he was a child... Fluff loves him no matter what and would do anything for him.
How does he/she view his/her friends?:: He treats his friends with respect and kindness. He's also very open with them about his past and worries and such.
How does his/her family view him/her?:: Kamin worships his older brother, and Moni loved him so much that she was willing to die for him....
How does his/her friends view them?:: He is a pillar of strength, and possibly one of the better 'catches' out there. I suspect that his friends are usually past girlfriends and guys that he used to be the same soldier rank as... Because, honestly, Fluff is that guy that you'd love to hate, but you can't because he's just a completely honest and upstanding guy. He's also a good friend to hang your problems on because he's good at fixing them and making you feel better.
Who is his/her hero?:: He thinks of Moni at least once a day, and he's VERY proud of Kamin and all the things that the younger jivvin has managed to pull though over the years.
