So I want to know if you guys consider graphic novels worth reading.
I'm considering turning on of my ideas into one instead of writing it out, manly because I'm an art major and want to broaden my portfolio a bit.
If you do, which are your favs? what styles do you like?

Some graphic novels are good because of their story line like Persepolis, and then there are manga which have great drawings and story lines. Some of the ones I am interested in are like Sakura Taisen, Full Metal Alchemist, and Death Note.
Plus, it would just be a good experience. I have been wanting to make one for a while now, but the time is lost in school and other endeavors.

I've read one Manga... sadly it wasn't a true manga, it was one of the KH's one that my cousin bought me for some reason (maybe because i like that game O.o)
but yeah anyway, i'm probably going to to a written version and Graphic version, so that the graphic version is close to what I want it to be. That and so i can pick the scenes I want to lay out.

To be honest,I hate the Artemis Fowl Graphic Novel.
The illustrations are just so awful,they ruin the characters gonk

See I hate that too because you need strong characters for that... I've read a little bit about it and my cousin who has read them all has told me a bit about it. That's the other thing I'm unsure of cause I can't really draw people all that well, but they're not complete stick figures... hmm... lol i could do a chibi novel mrgreen
