Father- JiangSui Wu: Deceased. Her father was a wizard who previously studied at Hogwarts. He was mostly the one who spoiled her, and spent more time with her. Only when she was older did she notice the strain she and her mother were placing on him. Even so, he continued to go to work, just to he could support her. When Lin was 10, he died of a brain tumor. It happened when he was fixing her laptop. She went downstairs to get a snack and heard a scream. Not even wizarding doctors knew what happened. Just that he suffered a tumor.
((Sorry >.> I don't really know how tumors work))
Mother- the famous, fabulous, Wizarding world hero, QiLiang Wu: Lin's mother is a very, very, very successful witch, who also studied at Hogwarts. She is an agent of the ministry, who specializes with law and Confundus charm. Her job is to negotiate with wizards the ministry is having trouble with, and, if necessary, confound them. As a result, she is rarely ever home. Her mother traveled the world, and never kept in touch. In fact, Lin barely even knows her. Lin went to hogwarts before her mother had a chance to come back. Her only memories of her mother are that she was very strict, and forced Lin into magic at a very young age.
Being an only child, with only her father at her side, she took up an odd job at 9. She cleaned her neighboring wizards house. But not all of her life was all "tragedy". Her father often took her to parks and to meet other wizard children. Lin learned magic from her father. Her friends were mostly muggles who never knew of her power. They were nice to her, but never truly understood her. She spent most of her time alone.
.: biggrin iving deeper::. Lin is like ice: beautiful, but cold; fun to play with when you get to know her, but deadly. Shes bold and independent, yet is full of spirit; cheerful to close friends, but cold. She doesn't refrain from using magic on those who insult her, and definitely isn't afraid to talk back to teachers. Having a strange way with words, she can give a fancy little speech and have people bustling about doing what she wanted. She only shows her kind and joyful side to her closest friends. Her personality often contradicts itself, and causes mood swings.
She was always among the smartest at her muggle schools, and happens to be fluent in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English.
Lin is extremely skilled at magic, especially DADA. But that's given her a reputation of a "snooty genius", and so she has few friends. Shes very loyal to them, and defends them from insults. When in battles, she has the ability to keep calm. Her "arrogant calmness" seems to anger her enemies. She does what she thinks is right. Her DADA teachers never seem to like her.....
.::Taking a closer look::.
"Miss Wu, why don't you demonstrate for us?" Once again, she, Lin Wu, was on the hot seat. Lin couldn't tell if she had insulted her DADA teacher, or if (s)he just didn't like her. Reluctantly, Lin got up and raised her wand. "Expecto Patronum!" she muttered, half-hearted. Out sprang a silver phoenix, strutting majestically, though it was nowhere near her full strength. The professor sniffed, as if (s)he disliked her triumph. "Nicely done" (s)he said through gritted teeth.
As class ended, she gathered her books and walked out silently. A couple of "popular people" brushed by her, causing her to drop her books. Whipping out her wand in anger, Lin whispered, "Avis". A flock of doves appeared from her wand and launched themselves onto her opponents. Heads turned and Lin quickly hid her wand. She held up her head and walked away as if nothing had happened. Once she was out of sight, Lin grinned and thought. "That'll teach them" and she continued to the common room.
