First off, let me just say that I am proud of this guild...in not even 1 week of this guild's opening, we already have about 50 members and 1000+ posts. So to all of you who moderate, participate, or just keep this guild running- -Thank you! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now then, to the matter at hand. We want to ensure that roleplaying is enjoyable, and fair for all those that participate...However, advanced Roleplayers have difficulty roleplaying side-by-side with beginners, due to the fact that there are inconsistencies.
From now on, to make it fair for everyone there will be two different types of RP:
(A) for advanced, and (B) for beginner.
When you first begin to RP, you will start as a beginner, and therefore will not be elligible to participate in advanced threads. If we notice you have particular skill, then you will recieve a PM letting you know that you have been promoted to Advanced.
If you are an Advanced member, and have a friend who you believe to be a wonderful RolePlayer, you may nominate them for immediate acceptance as an Advanced member. However, please provide either an example of their skill in past RP, or your personal vouch for them....Please realize if you vouch for them and they are not up to par, they will have to be demoted.
Beginner thread options and rules:
-You may play any character you wish, as long as you have a bio posted.
-you may post however you like, as long as it doesn't violate Gaia's ToS, and is roleplay. (Do not post about real life subjects in a RP thread)
-you may swtich characters at any time
-attempt to be as grammatically correct as possible, but it doesn't have to be perfect.
-battles do not have to follow the strength chart, but please try to be accurate.
Advanced Thread Rules and Options
-This is an advanced RP, grammar must be as correct as possible. Typos are allowed, but please write as if you were working on a high-quality work or writing.
-Effort must be put into each post, things such as submitting a reply with only "*he stares at her angrily*" and nothing else is just slacking. Describe emotions, surroundings, or the character's inner thoughts if possible.
-You may apply for more than one character, but at most you may have 2.
-You may apply for characters that are taken in beginner forums, as you will not be posting alongside them.
-Once the Strength chart is posted, please refer to it for accurate battles.
-Do not act out of character for any reason, unless you post it with (( ))
-Always respect your fellow members, feel free to PM each other to plan out strategies and plot twists. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will now personally go through each character bio in the RP thread. If you are accepted as an Advanced member, I will place an 'A' next to your character's name. So please check it!
Also RP threads that have and "(A)" at the end of their title are Advanced RP only. Beginner's who post there will have their posts deleted. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you everyone! I hope this makes things go by alot easier, and those of you who are beginner's and wish to become advanced-- keep practicing! You never know when we'll take notice of you.

Could you also make a note on the style of RP-ing. A lot of people either write as if they were writing a story or use first person with asterisks enclosing actions. If I may suggest that people who reply to an RP, try to use the same style as the person who started it?
I'm thinking of going back and redoing a lot of my posts in the style favoured by most people in the Turks vs. D of J thread.

Then if you look in the RP rules thread, you can see which are the mods of the group and PM them asking for advice. I'm sure they'll be only too happy to help ^^
Um, try Altana or TikkiPriestess, they're on regularly enough. ^^
