It was when Kitsumi had gone out of the house, and all was tidy (for now), that Ayako actually took a break from her normal duties in the household. A good rest was what she needed, really. Axis and Ree, were as usual together somewhere, Lia and Nyx out on their adventures, Xara at home. All safe and well.

It was then she realized that the ones she couldn't put her thoughts at ease to were her older children.

Xanul was around more often, now living with them instead of going out as he used to, and she worried about his current state of affairs. Xelon was still on rough terms with his children; she still had to talk to him about that. No matter what happened, blood relations were always more important. What could you care for more than those that are a part of you?

And Swax.

How long had she not seen her oldest daughter? She thought, with a pang of hurt.

"Xanul." She called quietly to the huddled figure in the corner. The dark haired kitsu lifted his head and looked over at his mother quizzically.

"We're going to visit Swax." Confusion registered in Xanul's eyes for an instant before he scrambled up. It was rather...random, though he didn't mind going to see Swax. How had she been? He wondered. She would be fine though. Swax had an uncanny way of doing this, but nevertheless. She knew how to look after herself.

Well, he had nothing much to do. Apart from going to play with his little cousins.

Nodding, he opened a portal, leading to near where Swax resided.

"Swax?" Ayako called out as they arrived, tails flicking uncertainly. "Are you here?"
