I'm Jess - a 17 year old art student from New Zealand, in my final year of high school. I'm only halfway through my design/photography finals which are due on Monday, so I really shouldn't be here right now (to put that into perspective for you - we've had a whole semester for these assignments sweatdrop ).
The guild I captain in wasn't mine, originally. I was the second member to join (excluding the original captain and vice-captain), and my enthusiasm + the VC moving to a no-internet zone got me promoted to VC. Eventually the original captain lost interest, and we voted one of the other VCs into power. After a year or so, life grabbed her by the neck, and Maggie became Captain. After a year or so of that (hahah) real life meant she had to step down from full time Captain duties, and I took her place - so after 2 and a half years, I'm finally captain, hahah.
o_O I spose that sums things up.
Someone else's turn now.

What ho!
My name is Annie Anthrax and I'm a 20 year old Police Science student (it's a course involving forensic science, criminology, police duties and law, police management and personal development, it's terribly swish!) from the UK. Perhaps rather unsurprisingly I run a Criminal Justice guild.. ¬_¬
I bought it second hand from a very nice chap who was so impressed with my sales pitch that he let us have it for a discount! It's all a bit new and we don't have a great many members because I suppose not alot of people dig criminal justice..
Although the guild is 'open' there is still an awful lot I would like to add to it before I consider it to be properly 'done'.

Hello. I am Suzako-Akemi and I am the captain of four different guilds. I started out with the Council of Elders, a guild formed to help others in Gaia!
I am the oldest member there and tend to be the one who looks out for everyone.

I like to read manga, like 10 million or so other people on the planet. I can really get into a topic once it grabs my interest, and I want to major in Sequential Art at SCAD (maybe that was a bot too much info?? xDD)
I run {The Osamu Tezuka Guild}, which is dedicated to the Godfather of manga. Rekka_Gen of Bloodrose generously donated and helps me mod it. Because I could never do that on my own. ^^
It's fairly new, not that many members, so...

I'm leader of A Small Word Games Guild, The largest Word Games Guild on Gaia. We're pretty active and I didn't start it myself. =P I inherited it from the second captain who inherited it from the first.

Hey, I'm Gax and I'm 16. I am the frontman in my own band, and that's why I am the Owner/Captain of a brand new Guild I created tonight, "Music Unlimited" (For singers, songwriters, musicians, and fans of any music genre.) I have it hidden at the moment, trying to get a few details worked out but it should be ready to take members in a few days. mrgreen
Edit: I worked on it a couple of hours and decided to release it.. Wish me luck.

I am Bahamut, or Baja, for short.
Age: 24
Not currently in college, just working and deciding on what to do before I take more classes. Interested in traveling and gaining new experiences. My gf and I just recently opened up The 4G Network. 4G stands for "Gaian GSA Gamer Guild", which is pretty much what the guild is about.
It's the LGBTQ friendly, gaming-obsessed, discussion-happy, RP-crazed Gaians out there. The idea originally started off as a Prince of Persia guild, then into a general girl gamer guild, and then expanded out further to general gamer/LGBTQ hangout.
Hoping for the best in recruitment, activity, and improvement efforts. Cheers!
Also, thank you to The Captain's Guild for being an awesome resource. I found you guys by entering "how to run a guild" in the general Gaia search. Lots of valuable information here, it's great!

Hey everybody! *waves*
I haven't introduced myself before though I should have done it a while ago xd
Basically, I'm now Captain of the guild that JVCA was Captain of. (see above for her post) My successor was dark_angel_32189 who's stepped down due to real life.
So yup! I'm 21, and became Captain on July 31st.
I'm currently unemployed, and using that time to look for a new job, while studying Japanese at evening class and running the guild. I'm glad that I have so much time to watch over the guild xd
