Yes this is a zombie infestation complaint.
After getting stuck in Grom'gol for half an hour with no healer around, I've decided that I'm not playing at all until the expansion comes out and this infestation is over with. I seriously can't do anything with these zombies around . . . I get infected no matter where I go, and it sucks when you get infected in a smaller town because they don't have healers there. I get infected, then I let the grunts kill me, then I run back to my body only to be infected again.
I also don't like the fact that they're killing flight masters and NPCs. I think I've spent most of my playing time in the past week just waiting around for respawns than anything else. Aaargh . . . I'm not paying to play this game only to not be able to play at aaall.
I admit my frustration and defeat, and I hope the rest of you are having more fun with it than I am.
I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't a measly level 39 . . . I can't even defend myself against the zombies. gonk

How long is it lasting, anyway? Until the expansion is released?

 Oderint Dum Metuant The end may be in sight, if you've been to Shatt you get a quest to bring a Light-Infused item to your race's capital to create artifacts to use against the zombies. No followup (yet), but it's promising.Let them hate, so long as they fear.

Shadowlord Rayth The end may be in sight, if you've been to Shatt you get a quest to bring a Light-Infused item to your race's capital to create artifacts to use against the zombies. No followup (yet), but it's promising.

I"ve been playing on and off all morning and haven seen a single plagued rat, cockroach or crate anywhere or any zombies.

I agree entirely.. It was a good idea in theory, but It's just retarded when your sitting in the AH waiting for the dead auctioneers to respawn or getting repeatedly spawn camped while trying to quest.
It would be better if you had more of a choice to get or not get butt raped.

Having been around for ALL the previous pre-release s**t they've done in WoW (Naxx, TBC), this is the stupidest s**t they could have possibly done. Theres no nice way to put it. I'm sure it looked REALLY ZOGM AWESUM on the drawing board but the execution is ******** terrible. NO ONE thinks its fun to have to AFK NEAR AN NPC SO THEY WON'T COME BACK TO A CORPSE, IN A MAJOR ******** CITY. NO ONE.
The ONLY PEOPLE getting any enjoyment out of this are the 9 and 10 year old kids who 'play' this game, running around and exploding themselves in banks and the AH just to piss people off.
GG Blizzard, way to piss all your subscribers off a month before the xpac. I'm sure its boosting your numbers hella.

I think you guys are exaggerating the thing a bit. The event only lasted 3 days and at its peak it was only really bad on the last day. Its the first time that you can't just ignore the game lore and go about your quest grinding. It would have been a stupid storyline if no one was actually affected by the plague. I will say it was a bit out of hand at the end, but I also think people canceling their accounts and throwing hissy fits on the wow-forums need to take a deep breath and move away from the computer for a bit.
The only thing that really bothered me about the whole thing was taking durability dmg when someone killed me. This event cost me probably in the neighborhood of a 100g in repairs. Glad I wasn't wearing plate.

That whole thing made international news
People who were complaining finally got them to change it.
Way to ruin the rare fun we get on that game
I mean, seriously, it lasted all of three days like other people have said, and these events occur every expansion, so we'd be lucky to see this kind of thing in another 2 years if by then there's another one coming out?
I thought it was fun
Sure, it got extremely boring after a while but fun and NEW nonetheless
Now I wouldn't have minded getting rid of those spirits that follow you around and say all the Lich King stuff - anybody else get driven crazy by em?
Then again you have a point with always running for your life in a major city.
But really, come on you could do without going into one for a while
Nearly all places have mailboxes and some have banks,and Darnassus is always a population of 0. there were alternatives to sitting around in Shatt and SW whining about how you're a zombie.
Just something to think about...

I had a lot of fun with the event! It was unique and entertaining and only lasted OMG A FEW DAYS that people were slightly inhibited from doing the droning, monotonous things they do EVERY SINGLE OTHER DAY.
I mean, Christ people, lighten up and re-learn how to have fun in a game.

Oh, and I had a blast, going up to lowbies, killing them, blowing up next to people. It was a grand ol' time. I had tons of fun, and wish they'd have more of this in the game... T.T
