Who's scarier when they're angry...? o-o;
  Motoko!
  Soul!
  I wouldn't want to meet EITHER of them in a dark alleyway... lets leave it at that...

Now that Soul's shadows had released her, Motoko was free to use the sand that was once frozen as material for more rats. As the sand began to move off of her, Motoko regain mobility and staggered to her paws. She was bleeding freely from some of the wounds Soul had given her, but not as badly as it could have been. Motoko was beginning to tire, but only in the slightest bit. She had not trained her powers of decades, centuries, just to be used up in a couple moments. But it was true, she WAS getting tired, but then again, what sort of fight would this be if it wasn't a challenge...? Motoko closed her eyes and began to meditate. She needed to conserve energy, and she trust her body to be able to put up with any sort of beating this elder could dish out. Motoko's body went as rigid as a stone as the sand in her fur solidified; it was a defense mechanism she used when she could no longer protect herself with physical blows. The rats suddenly became more vicious as their master pressed the rest of her energy into them. As Soul swiped them away, they would just reform and go back to their attack.

Soul was not going to be able to keep the attacks up for much longer. She was reaching her limit with her powers and her fading fur was tinted red almost everywhere. As the rats became more vicious Soul knew that she was going to have to end this now. One of them was going to fall have to fall. Taking a few steps back and taking off as many rats as she could her bell tingled softly. She focused on the sound of her bell and the shadows around the area started to shift and move. She felt the rats already back on her sides biting and scratching. Trying to keep her focus through the pain was hard. The shadows from the rats and from herself seemed to group together into a ball, before spreading over the area over Soul and shifting around to attack all the things within it's reach. This would be her last effort to attack the other elder and get the rats off of her. It wouldn't be enough to stop the other elder all together, but at least she would get rid of the smell of earth.

Motoko was staring through the eyes of her rats, her angle of vision changing constantly as the creatures continuously died and changed positions. She could feel the energy and power for a giant attack welling up within Soul with each new rat bite Motoko doled out. She snarled through her rats, her body still completely motionless, as Soul's bell tinkled once more. That sound was infuriating! Suddenly all she shadows and darkness in the immediate area began to converge and create a giant ball of void. Motoko braced her body, knowing she could do nothing more, as a pulse of darkness sped over everything. She then smirked, and instead of fighting against the darkness, Motoko let all of her rats drop to the ground before she lost too much energy fighting a loosing battle. And with a mighty roar, Motoko summoned the sand that was once her rats, and converged it around herself, creating a protective casing around her body. It was a giant ball of concrete like sand, and inside of it, Motoko was buying time, and regaining energy. She closed her eyes and meditated, taking the life force from the earth around her, draining it from the grass and the flowers, promising to return it later. Life around Motoko's sand ball ceased to exist as all of the energy from the earth flowed into her. Then Motoko's eyes snapped open, and she sneered with pleasure, she was ready to continue.

A dark whirl of void went around her and she leaned against a tree in her elf form. How long had it been from the last time she had changed into her elf form? She couldn't remember or many she didn't care. She had used to much energy and had not used her power as much as she did within this one day. She watched the ball of sand for a moment before she reach up to her bell to stop it from tingle with her movement. As much as she hated to loss a fight, she knew this one was one she had lost. In this form she couldn't smell the earth and the blood. Closing her eyes for a moment she took in a deep breath and willed the shadows to slowly come up around her to hide her from view. The area was full of her blood so her still bleeding wouldn't give away where she was. She was happy when she felt the coldness of the shadows close in around her. "My only friends..." She whispered to the shadows but didn't stop leaning in the tree. She was not sure if she could even move now.

(( Motoko has never turned into her elf form as far as anyone knows... I'm still working on the back story... I just wanted to explain her animosity against Soul's elf form...))

Motoko created a lone wolf outside of her protective shell and stared at Soul through the wolf's eyes as Soul turned into her elf form. Motoko shuddered mentally and thought, Why is she turning into that form.... I wouldn't be caught dead like that... Didn't she learn anything from the humans?! She then coughed and began to talk through the wolf's mouth in a gravely voice, "That was and interesting battle dark one... Do you secede...? Battles to the death are such a waste..." The wolf paused for a moment, continuing to stare at Soul with its empty-socket eyes, while inside the sand shelter, Motoko's body began to smart from injuries she had sustained during the fight.

Soul looked at the wolf then to the ball of earth. "It has been to long from the last time I have used my power this much. So for this time it is over." She let go of her bell and watched the ball for a moment. "But it could go the other way around if we had gone on. Your ball of dirt casts a shadow on the outside and also the inside where you think that you are safe." She called to the shadows to flicker around them both but that was all they did. Her will to fight had disappeared at the moment because the memories now were of the time she had spend with her human friend.
