I thought this would be fun and artsy x3
Basically write a steam of thoughts on fall OR winter, whichever you like more C:

My thoughts on winter...

I think of the way frost looks on bare trees, my cat hopping through the snow, the smell of eggnog and cinnamon, the way the lights look on our fake green tree, how the rush of heat feels on my pink nose after coming in from the cold, holding hands with my dearest in the snow, and how when i think of these things the best memories come back.

Fall is crisp cold air and nights, leaves falling, wearing hoodies and scarves, digging up the rest of your garden, waiting for snow, turning the heat back on, waiting for spring, waiting for something. It's fresh and exciting, like a suspended bubble of anticipation. And hot cider goes a long way along with apple picking.

Winter is when you hunker down. It's too cold to really want to do most anything. The snow that seemed wonderous and pure at first becomes nothing but a nuisance that's covered in dirt from the streets. You grumble and curse and wait for spring or hibernate. People should learn how to hibernate. Winter is beautiful though. It's so cold and still like an ice queen.

Fall is an older Summer who's flirting with Winter.
Fall is pumpkin-patch raiding, picking corn, squirrels rustling ground-cover in search of last-minute stashing. The making of cider, the storage of fire-wood, the preparations for the end-of-harvest feast. The celebration of the Earth's abundance.
Fall is magic and the harvest moon, Earth's sigh as she hunkers down for the night.
The glorious reds, golds, oranges, and the complimenting browns and greens. The crackling of dried leaves and the rattle of newly-bare branches. The dance of warm and cold winds, the southern flights of birds. The shortening of days, the summer's fiery sunsets muted with violet and gray, the unpacking of double-thick quilts and downy comforters.
Animals retreating to their dens for winter hibernation, winter birds shifting their diets to winter berries and slow insects.
Telling stories by the fireside sharing hot mugs of cocoa to while away the long evening
Fall is Summer's retreat, as the world settles in for the Winter's stay.
