Schoolwork done using Final Fantasy... I'm thinking back to my senior year Speech and Communication class... i did 3 different assignments that used Final Fantasy for that class, and i aced it.

1. How-to Speech w/ PowerPoint and video: I started with a speech on "How to Defeat FF Bosses." I had a PowerPoint that showed all the steps I take in doing so in detail. Then, when the PowerPoint was done, and all i had left was the concluding paragraph, I showed a video of me taking on Gargantua in Ultimecia's Castle, which showed the class those steps put into practice. The speech was only supposed to be about 5-7 minutes. Mine ended up the longest in the class, at about 20. sweatdrop I still ended up getting an A on that speech, though, since it was so well-thought out and organized.

2. Song or Musician Speech: Naturally, I chose to highlight the work of Nobuo Uematsu for this speech. One of the points I really touched on was the fact that Uematsu likes to use several different styles of music in his work, and we were supposed to have a piece of music playing behind us. Since the speech was supposed to be about 7-8 minutes long, I figured there would be no better song to use than "The Skies Above" by the Black Mages. It demonstrated a few of the different styles that Uematsu uses, and it's one of those pieces that really shows his true genius. My speech ended just as the piano outro to that song started, which was perfect timing. I think I got a B on that one, but only because the music was a little loud...

3. Speeches on Concepts that Benefit People: This was a fun one. My speech had to do with "How the Magic of Final Fantasy Would Benefit Mankind." I don't really wanna go in-depth on that one at the moment. But, I think that was another B speech, because I was looking too much at the PowerPoint...

Wow, Draco, that last one sounds entertaining. xd Beyond healing spells, I think it could do considerably more harm than good, though... I don't see many practical purposes for casting Bio or Meteor. I'd have liked to hear them all, though. 3nodding I'd have probably chosen a different song to play for the second one; the singing in The Skies Above is pretty weird until you get used to it.

The primary reason for using "The Skies Above" was the fact that it exhibits a lot of the different styles that Uematsu uses in his music. It shows his affinity for piano music in both the intro and outro, the metal music exhibited throughout, and the opera style that he has made somewhat popular with Final Fantasy VI. I would've used "Darkness and Starlight" if I had it, but it would've been far too long for the project.

As for the spells, I made a remark that a lot of the Black Magic would have good military use. As you said, though, it probably would do more harm than good, as some of that magic is extremely destructive, and could be catastrophic in the wrong hands.

Hmm...I did this art project on Genesis. I already forgot what the art style was called though. One where you use dots to make a picture instead of lines and coloring. It took a long time but I got an A on it.
