Ugh. She was utterly exhausted. Who would've known that raising cubs would be such hard work? There was the feeding and the playing and the watching out for. It didn't exactly help that she'd had six cubs, but she had a feeling that she'd still have been this exhausted even with two or three. And of course, not only was this her first litter, but she was raising them alone. A sigh escaped the lionness' maw - she could make it easier. She could tell Pembe. But no, she wasn't going to. She could do this by herself.

It was a bright, sunny day in the Pridelands, and the warm rays of the sun on her fur felt relaxing. Laying herself flat on top of Pride Rock, a low humming of pleasure vibrated from Azriell, as she closed her eyes, reveling in the warm, fuzzy feeling that crept over her. She'd left the cubs with a close friend of hers for the next hour, so there were no worries there. The first time since she'd had the cubs she had alone, and she planned to enjoy it. And relaxing here in the warm sun was the perfect way to do so.

Mchengo had brought up five cubs, all of which were now adolescent however she hadn't brought them up on her own. She had Chipo and her siblings and father lived in the pride as well. She was without doubt a very lucky lioness. She had such an awesome life and seemed to not care all that much about things going wrong. She had never really seen the bad side of anything and nothing had changed.

She had found herself today just wandering about. She hadn't much to do other then to go hunting. So that is what she decided to do. Hunting sounded awesome. However as she moved around the pridelands a lioness who looked younger then herself but looked ever so tired.

"Hello!"

She smiled as she ran over towards the female in her normal cheery happy way. However as she got closer the female seemed to look sad and tired and Mchengo couldn't help but feel sorry for her even though she wasn't sure what was wrong with the female ahead of her.

Azriell nearly jumped to her feet in panic at the sudden interruption to her well-earned rest, grumpily growling and opening a single eye, critically watching the other lionness. What was she doing, intruding on her nap? And her sunbathing. And why was she so...happy? Azi grumbled softly as she shuffled around, propping herself up a little so she wasn't look up at Mchengo. If she was sleeping, then everyone else should be too. It was like...a rule.

"...Hello?"

Her voice was weary and tired, but she tried to be as happy as possible. She didn't want to be rude - but it was becoming more and more difficult, with this lionness seeming happy-happy and Azi in the mood to just want to go to sleep.

Mchengo, smiled as the other lioness answered her and went trotting over towards her. Mchengo had always been one of these carefree lions where she could do what she wished without much of an issue. She had brought up her five children and goodness knows where they were now but they were probably enjoying life and that was all that counted.

"You okay?" She asked, tilting her head slightly as she looked at the other lioness. The lioness's body seemed tired and weary but Mchengo wasn't one to make assumptions and so she would allow the female to talk.

"I am Mchengo by the way!" She smiled her soft smile that she had been told many times was a lot like her mothers.

And now she was coming closer. Great. Looked like she wasn't getting any sleep too soon after all. Propping herself up properly, shifting into a sitting position - albeit a rather slouching one - Azi glanced up towards the other lionness, trying to keep the irritation out of her emerald eyes. She'd have to check on the cubs soon, so she wouldn't be able to talk too long.

"I'm fine," snapped Azriell, perhaps a little too fast. She was unable to keep all the irritation out of her voice, but managed pretty well. She didn't want to upset the lionness - her grumpiness shouldn't affect the other. As a name was given - Mchengo, a pretty name - it took Azi a few moments to realize that she should probably give hers back.

Azriell'Kyupe, though most refer to me as Azriell or Azi. Pleasure to meet you, Mchengo."

Mchengo looked at the female and couldn't help smiling, even when she spoke a little sharpish.

"You seem tired."

She was stating it not asking. After all mchengo was a mother to five, all grown up now but still. She knew what it was like to be tired.

"You have a very beautiful name."

Mchengo was one to always be honest, she had never lied not once in her life. she had never really seen the point of it. She was also much too care free to really care about worrying people. If they didn't like the truth it was their fault really!
