Titan stopped and turned, sitting down to watch her. He supressed a chuckle when she sat down as well. "Why, of course. I was very popular in the old days, you know." he said, his voice sarcastic. In fact, he was one of the most hated although none would say that to his face. And the thought of a female, in fact, complimenting one? Never crossed his mind until Sonet. When her tail brushed him, his spine rippled with the killing instinct again, but he held it back. He pushed her tail away with his own, trying not to be too forceful. "I'm afraid so." he said, letting a chuckle escape him this time. It sounded a bit forced, though, as his body still thought it was under attack. He flashed his own fangs as well, although it was more a warning than a grin. "And don't tell me you're actually going to stay." He stroked the side of her face with his tail armor, snagging a few strands of her fur along the way, his face thoughtful. "To take care of me. Hmm?" he flicked his tail to one side, sending the strands scattering, then raised it to partially cover his mouth as he yawned.

Titan's mind sighed in relief when Rue didn't come closer. It showed she was capable of listening and following directions at least. "I guess so." he said, shrugging as if there really was no other option. "Of course. Torture is always fun." he grinned, turning his head so he could watch her go back to the stream. His lips twitched, wanting to ask what the heck was wrong with her eye, but he kept silent for the time being.

Titan pretended to be preoccupied with a few stray strands of fur poking out of his tail armor while Rue drank, although, really, he was only trying to keep an eye on her. He winced at the pain in his leg. What was it, only two days since he woke up with the blasted wound? He growled quietly at himself for letting such a thing happen, espcially in front of his former enemy. Nothing he could do about it now.

When he noticed Rue's look, his eyes met up with hers and he stared back her, his fur bristling slightly. Sometimes, staring could mean a challenge. He was about to speak but she beat him to it. What she said caught him by surprise and he frowned, thinking of it as a joke. "That wasn't very funny." he said. His tail twitched and he noticed how serious her expression was. This only deepened his frown.

The sudden question left Titan stunned, even more so by the fact that with ever passing second, it seemed less and less like a joke. He gritted his teeth, tail thrashing. "What are you playing at?" he demanded. They had known each other for less than two days and Rue was asking him if he wanted her to stay or leave. Well, obviously the latter. He didn't like looking weak in front of his opponents. But he knew that with his injured leg, he could do nothing for himself, that without her, he'd die. He hated both her and himself for letting the situation get so out of paw.

"Just leave." he finally said, his voice irritated. "Since you seem to be having loads of fun looking after me."

Titan would be lying if he said he was glad when Rue left. He was grateful for her help and grateful to be alone, but he knew he couldn't fully take care of himself properly. In the North, in his pack, one died from wounds like these quickly, so he had never bothered to learn anything about healing. He snorted with dissatisfaction, but he wasn't going to call her back. When he thought she was out of sight, he got up and limped away.
