George Carlin was an amazing comedian who died this year. He was particularly famous for his "7 Dirty Words" skit. A while back, I checked out his stand ups on youtube. Carlin is an atheist with pretty liberal views. He has one particular rant on pro-lifers and conservatives I thought the guild might enjoy. It's pretty funny, and even brought up a few interesting points. He's a bit of an a**, though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrXvDXVhqfU

I heart George Carlin.
If any of you are interested in his comedy, read his book "When will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?". It's hilarious. (:
CHICKENS ARE DECENT PEOPLE.

OMG, that was great!!!! Thank you for putting this on here!!! Glad to see another atheist who is pro-choice. He brought up a lot of good points I've never thought of. I'm DEFINITELY favoriting this on YouTube.
Pro-Life IS Anti-Woman.

I remember watching that video. he really raised some good points, such as:
"Well, if a fetus is a human being, how come the census doesn't count them? If a fetus is a human being, how come when there's a miscarriage they don't have a funeral? If a fetus is a human being, how come people say 'we have two children and one on the way' instead of saying 'we have three children?'"
And:
"But even after the egg is fertilized, it's still six or seven days before it reaches the uterus and pregnancy begins, and not every egg makes it that far. Eighty percent of a woman's fertilized eggs are rinsed and flushed out of her body once a month during those delightful few days she has. They wind up on sanitary napkins, and yet they are fertilized eggs. So basically what these anti-abortion people are telling us is that any woman who's had more than more than one period is a serial killer! "
And:
"And speaking of my friends the Catholics, when John Cardinal O'Connor of New York and some of these other Cardinals and Bishops have experienced their first pregnancies and their first labor pains and they've raised a couple of children on minimum wage, then I'll be glad to hear what they have to say about abortion."
The two quotes that I loved were:
"Why, why, why, why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't want to ******** in the first place, huh? "
And:
"They're not pro-life. You know what they are? They're anti-woman. Simple as it gets, anti-woman. They don't like them. They don't like women. They believe a woman's primary role is to function as a brood mare for the state."
All in all, that guy was a genius (But not if you're Fred Phelps). I bet you can use some of his points (along with scientific facts) when doing a debate on abortion.
If anyone wants to know where I got those quotes, here it is:

I first heard this on a CD of my dad's when I was about 9 or 10. I didn't even know what abortion was at the time and I had decided strictly because of Carlin's rant that I was pro-choice.
God, I loved this dude. RIP.

God, I loved this dude. RIP. If they made a church of Carlinism, I'd be the first to join (although it would be ironic, considering he's an atheist).

But, I think his quotes have broought up some excellent points, one which a great many of us hav used ourselves in those over-abundant abortion topics.
