Djenne smiled. "Hello, miss," she said, glancing sideways at Vanny. "I just moved here with my parents. I live down the street. She glanced at the car.
"Er... Do you need help with that?" she asked. Then she grimaced. Of course she needed help! Why else was she here? "Um... my mom said that she would help... Should I call her?"

All the politeness Sue, his mother, and Leah had pounded in him kicked in. Seth stepped forward to her. "Hello, Miss. Its a pleasure to meet you." He said, holding out his hand to shake with her. "It'd be great to help you move in. I know its not much of a Welcome Wagon, but welcome anyway to our area. If you wish, you can come to my place and meet my mother. She'd love to meet you." Plus, that'd make it easier for Seth to get Vanny to Jake and they could meet. Vanny was obviosuly a wolf, too. It took a him a minute to figure that out, but now he thought it was dumb. Her heart was huge, and she was tell. Plus her ancestorage... Maybe he could introduce Djenne to them, too. Seth nodded to himself. Sounded good.
Run, baby, run. Forever we'll be.

I smiled towards Djenne when she used Miss, just like I asked her and Seth too. Then my mom spoke.
"Actually, I do need help. You probably should call her. Thank you for taking time to help out. You too, Seth," my mom said, and gave them a smile. I turned to Seth when he began to talk. I was a little surprised at how polite he was, but also very pleased at the way he talked to my mother. My mother's smile grew and she shook Seth's hand. She recognized the heat. I knew this, because while shaking Seth's hand, she gave a quick glance in my direction. She let go of his hand.
"Why thank you, Seth. We could use a little extra help unpacking. Also, I'd love to meet your mother as well. It'd be nice to know some more people in the area. We lived here before, but I'm not really the social type," my mother responded. I nodded. It would be really good if my mom got out more. Maybe it would help her cope. Seth seemed to have a plan going through his head, I noticed. He was nodding to himself.
"How long do you think it will take for your mom to get here, Djenne?," I asked her. I then walked around the car, and opened the front hood. I looked at the engine and confused expression came across my face. I had no idea what was wrong. I was never a good with mechanical things. Everything I tried to fix that was mechanical only seemed to get worse.
"So...what's wrong with the car?," I asked. I felt really stupid. My mom shrugged and her smile turned sheepish.
"Actually, I'm not sure. It just broke down. I was hoping whoever you got to help would know," she told me. I looked at her in disbelief.
"You could have told me that sooner!," I said, and I shook my head. I then looked at Djenne.
"Do you think one of your parents will know what's the matter with it?," I asked. I sure hoped so.

Idolizing Jake like he had most of his life, Seth knew a good bit about cars. So he stepped forward and said: "Can I take a look, please? I can figure what the problem is. My friend, Jake, he's the best mechanic you'll probably ever meet, and I learned something from him." He added, giving Vanny a smile and joining her at the front of the car. He poked at the car for a moment, and then looked up. "I'm pretty sure it needs to spark again. Um, I can go to my Jake's house and get spark plugs from him if it'd be convenient." he suggested. It was a good chance, he knew, for Vanny to accompany him to see Jake. "Maybe Djenne and Vanny can accompany me." he added.
But everything changes.

I watched Seth as he asked to look at the car. I smiled, at least I knew someone knew what was wrong with the car. Then Seth said that Jake was one of the best mechanics. Before I moved, Jacob had found his new love, cars. He found out that he had a natural talent working on them. Jacob worked on one everyday in his garage. When he finally got it put together and all fixed, he looked really proud. Then he started working on this big truck, but I left before he got it finished. I figured that it was done by now, though. I moved out of the way and let Seth look at the car. Once he told me what was wrong, I looked up at him. Go to Jake's? With a good excuse? I had been waiting for something like this all day! My mom seemed oblivious to my happiness. I'm pretty sure I had a huge smile on my face.
"You do whatever you think will fix it, dear," my mom told him. She then added, "So, you hang out with a Jacob? Is that Jacob Black? He's a nice kid, he's grown so much, too." I knew the last part of that sentence had just slipped out, because she quickly covered her mouth. I turned to her, with my eyes narrowed at her, the smile on my face replaced with a suspicious expression.
"And how would you know that he grew, mom?," I asked her. If she broke her promise to me, she was getting the cold shoulder for the rest of the week. She told me that she wouldn't see Jake before me. If she did, I'd-
"Sorry honey, I stopped by his house earlier," she interrupted my thoughts. So she did go back on her promise! I was about to respond, when she added on,"But I was going to only talk to Billy! I swear! Jake was the one to answer the door, though!" I glared at her, an annoyed expression was clear on my face.
"I can't believe you! You promised me that I would see him first! I've been waiting all this time, nervous that I would interrupt something at his house, my best friend's house, and you go without me!," I stomped my foot on the ground and crossed my arms over my chest. I noticed my hands were shaking just a little bit, so I closed my eyes and tried to calm down. I was ticked off at my mom right now. I took a couple of deep breaths, and did the whole count backwards from 20 thing in my head. The shaking stopped. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that my sister had moved to sit by a tree, about 10 feet away, and my mom had tried to act like she was trying to get her out of the dirt, but I knew that she was just trying to get in a safety range. Good, she needed to be there. I sighed, and leaned against the car.
"Mom, I'm sorry I..," I started, but I was cut off by my mom.
"No, no, it's okay honey. Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I gave him our address, and he said he might stop by later," she said, giving me a small smile. I gave one back. I turned to Seth.
"Hey, can we head to Jake's now? We need those spark plug things or whatever," I asked him. Honestly, my subconscious self was jumping for joy, but I wasn't about to show that on the outside. I really would look bipolar then. I'm sure Djenne was confused enough about my little tantrum. But, hey, what was I supposed to say? "Oh well, Djenne, that tantrum was just because us werewolves have short tempers, and when we do, we shake! Oh, did I forget to mention that Seth, Me, and probably a lot of the other people you will meet in La Push are werewolves?" Yeah, Right. Hopefully, I would come up with an excuse by the time we got to Jake's house. Or maybe she would just blow it off. No, that's not my luck. With my luck, she would figure out that I was a werewolf by morning. I shot Djenne a quick glance, and a small frown hit my face. Yeah, just my luck. I looked at my sister, and she seemed to be digging in the dirt, which my mom did not approve of. That would cover my frown, if anyone noticed, I guess.

I looked at Jamison not really doing anything, and I shrugged. I then got an idea. Call Bella, my brain was telling me. I was pretty anxious to see her again, so I listened to my brain. Also, Seth and Leah's argument was over, and I wasn't paying attention anymore. I turned to Jamison.
"Hey, I need to call someone, so you do whatever in here while you're waiting for Leah. I'm gonna be in my room," I told him. I picked up the cordless phone, laying on a table by the couch, and walked back to my room. I shut the door behind me, and went to lay on my bed. I dialed Bella's home phone number and held the phone to my ear, hoping she would pick up so I could ask her if I could come over.

Djenne frowned. Was Vanny... shaking? "Er... are you okay?" Djenne asked. "You looked like you were having a seizure or something..."
What was it that James had said? "The La Push folk get angry easily, and can sometimes get out of control. When they get angry, they tend to shake... If you see someone starts shaking, just keep away from them, okay?" She took a few steps back, trying to look casual- inspecting her shoe, or something. Her dad was a bit strange at times, but he knew what he was talking about. Besides, these were his people. He came from La Push, and she trusted him to know these things.

I looked at Djenne, and tried to put an innocent expression on my face. Before I spoke to her, I muttered under my breath. How could I let myself be so reckless? I can't just go around like that, I need to control my anger better. I smiled at her.
"I'm fine, Djenne. I just do that sometimes when I get aggravated. It's no big deal, really," I told her. I then noticed her stepping away a few steps, trying to be casual about it, but I could see through that. I pretended I didn't notice, for her sake. I was a little upset by it ,though it didn't show on my face.
