Pushing her hair back, Adda concentrated her eyes upon the ground. She was bent in a kneeling position and stalking around that way, her eyes darting around every single detail that mashed itself onto the ground. Others slipped passed her, eying her as if she was a freak or was born that way. Picking herself up, she stretched her back up to swell the feeling of comfort back into herself. Adda huffed once more as her hair lightly jumped from the pulse of her mouth. Once more, she took her stance of bending over and searching.

Why is she doing this exactly? It is not a dare nor is she doing it for fun. Adda had taken a trip away from Osaka and accidentally fell sleep on the train home. Due to this, she ended up in a part of Japan she wasn't familiar with. With more wandering and search, she ended up in Hachiko Square. However, she still didn't know of a way to get home. Even worse, while staring at the statue of the famous dog in Japan, she lost her Tamagotchi. Now she was on a search to find it...and hope it had not died as she had not fed it.

"Miroku! Miroku!" she called lightly and more people stared at her. It was getting late and she still had not found the tiny device. Adda was coming close to giving up. Suddenly, a street light came on and with that came the ringing of her cell. Who would be calling her? Taking her phone, the charm upon in jingled as she opened it and lightly muttered a, "Hello?"

Immediately, the voice of her father came into order.

"ADDA!" came the upped voice of the man with the heavy Chinese accent. "Where you?! You have me and your mother worried! Come home 'mmediately! Not later, now! Mother made food! Don' be eating out!"

Adda tried to tell her father what had occurred but he quickly hung up the phone without giving Adda a chance to talk. Adda sighed. Oh great, what was she to do? Give up her search and try to get home...Or stay and look for her old friend?

Today most of Finnegan’s classes got canceled with a bug that was going around the whole Arts department. But Ashton still had to work and class so he spent most of the morning finishing his painting for ancient art class and now he just wanted to get outside. It was a nice day out. The sun was behind clouds as often as it wasn’t so there was no danger in getting burned from sitting in the Square people watching.

And if anyone noticed him with his earphones plugged in and pencil flying across his pencil no one said anything. They would most likely just glare at them if he told them that he was trying to see how much detail he could give a person as they walked from one end of the Square to the other. He had hundreds of little figures drawn in dark red, blue and green pencils. They were talking on their cell phone, holding hands, smiling, laughing, walking, sprinting (those were always Finn’s favorite to draw, a frozen moment of motion), playing, or being generally angry with the world.

Finnegan didn’t know that he was sketching a still person until he looked down to his paper and noticed that he has drawn a progression of moment of one girl who looked like she was searching for something and then she pulled out her phone. Finn pulled out one ear bud, loud English pop making the people around him stare more the usual, as he looked at the ground near his feet to find a little keychain.

Maybe a kid dropped it? Looking at it the little pixeled pet looked quite unhappy and maybe hungry? Looking down at the poor thing and then around the Square his glance landed on the girl that was just standing there looking off into the distance. He believed that he saw her over here earlier but he still didn’t want to walk up to her and ask if she dropped something. That was no way to pick up the ladies Finn giggled to himself and fixed his lime green lenses as he set the little contraption on the step next to him in plain site if the girl would glance in his direction.

"Aiyee!" Adda fumed to herself as she stomped her foot upon the ground. To hard of a choice to make! To hard indeed! Sighing, she flicked loose strands of her bed headed hair out of her face. Her hair was a mess from too much searching. If only she had a brush...! Huffing once more in utter anger, frustration, and confusion, Adda was to the point in which she would be pushing the button that read "Game Over". But before her finger came close to touching it, Adda turned her gaze. There...there it was! There was Miruko! "Miroku!" chimed Adda out of no where, earning more glasses. But of course, Miroku did not take a physical form. So he could not just waltz over to her like a dog who had its named called. Taking another step, Adda had to be careful. If someone saw what she was aiming after...they might take it. As she took another step, her mind flashed and she saw who it was next to...a male!

Fear filled her quicker than a glass under a running tap. How was she to get it now?! Like normal Adda, she had a phobia of males due to her phobia of her virginity and child birth. However, this male looked busy. Was he...drawing? Or was he plotting his number of ways to abduct her? Fear clinged onto her again. For now...she would wait. She was too afraid to take another step...And much more afraid to even get her Tamagotchi.

Maybe this was a bad idea.

Finn kept on sketching though, so there was no way that he was stopping before he was finished. Drawings that weren’t done made him itch, something under his skin that clawed at him and never let him sleep at night before he finally brought himself to add whatever the thing needed.

Sighing to himself he quickly looked up to see if the girl moved and he almost smiled when he saw that she was frozen in place. He was too far away to see the expression that well, but she looked thoughtful and maybe a little bit…scared? Now Finn smiled a little sadly.

Hopefully this wouldn’t freak her out too much, the poor thing was making sad chirping like noises and he had no idea how to work the little mechanical pet. He would most likely hurt it, so he just kept up his drawing.

There.

It was done. Finnegan put on his best smile, the one that always got him free milkshakes from the nice lady at the mall. He held up his drawing at the girl for a moment before he tore it out of his note book. He did it on the back of all the other sketches of the girl searching around everywhere.

He also got up to move, because it was maybe getting a little late and he needed to sit with Hachiko before he left. The poor thing needed the company after all.

The drawing was another picture of the girl, but this time it was of her smiling as she found her little pet, but this time it wasn’t pixels on a small screen but it was as real as she was and hiding behind the statute in the square.

Finn nodded to her again and slowly started to pack up; placing the picture under the little pet to make sure it didn’t blow away. He didn’t want to get fined for littering after all. That was never fun. Tapping his fingers to the beat of the song he placed his pencil in his pocket he looked up at the sun. It was a little late, but maybe Ashton was still on shift? A burger sounded lovely at the moment.

Noticing the picture, Adda perked up with a smile. But afterwards, her smile diminished as her mind told her that he could be just luring her into a trap. She shook her head. She really had to stop listening to herself sometimes. As she walked over, Adda picked up her Tamagotchi which chirped loudly now. She had just made it just in time. Fiddling with some buttons and a few beeps from the pushed buttons, the chirping halted. Putting Miroku asleep, Adda stared down at the picture as she finally had a better chance to see it. How...interesting! It looked quite good! Turning down towards Finn, she choked slightly. Fear was holding her voicebox hostage. But she became the hero and saved it.

"T-t-t-thank y-o-u." she screeched and stammered. Good enough, right? Bowing her head than her, she brought herself to the ground in an almost formal Japanese way of bowing. "Thank you! Is there a way I can repay...you?" Adda kept her head bowed to the floor even with the male standing in front of her.

Finnegan tried not to grin like an idiot, though his roommate was telling him that it was the things that children’s nightmares were made of. But hopefully he was just being an a** and his grin really didn’t scare people…that would not help this situation at all.

Instead Finn put on a small smile, the same one he got when he was talking about the soft lines that his pencil made on a blank piece of paper. “It’s really no problem. My nieces have a bunch of them and whenever they try to tell me how to work them the poor things never make it through the day.” Wincing at how that came out, because he bet the girl would love to know that he could have accidently killed her poor pet.

“You don’t have to do anything,” Finnegan stopped himself because he might be a little socially awkward but he still noticed that this girl in front of him didn’t like people too much, or at least not him. Swallowing Finn smiled, maybe this time a little more awkwardly then before, “Would you like to sit with me while I keep Hachiko company for a minute, the poor things needs some friends after all?”

"Oh...Oh but I must!" pressured Adda as she rose her voice, causing glances of pure annoyance to be flashed her way. Adda ignored this as she picked herself up from the ground and dusted off the residue of sediment from her top. Turning her head, she stepped aside slightly. Fear was still clogging her throat once again. "Um....'kay." replied Adda as she bowed her head and took a seat upon the ground. She pulled her legs into her torso and stayed positioned like so. It must of been quite uncomfortable for her, but in truth it wasn't. That's what one gets for having been in gymnastics all her life.

Finnegan might have let his smile slip into a grin, but he made sure his eyes were still smiling. “Thanks.” He said simply as he got his supplies back out. Now that he had someone to sit with he didn’t feel as weird trying to draw every movement he could.

He was never one to get self conscious when someone was looking over his shoulder, Finn kind of enjoyed it when people watched when he was sketching if only because he loved spying on other people as well.

“Do you know the story behind poor Hachiko?” Finnegan asked curiously as he pooped one ear bud in, the one not facing towards the girl and went on to draw the dog running beside a skate boarder who just whooshed by, Finnegan’s green pencil flying over the blank page.
