So it's patch day. Woo, new talents! I try to log in, oops, extra-long maintenance, come back at 5 (my time). Darn. Wait around, find things to do, go to class, etc. Log on at 4:59! Hm. Only three servers are up, and they aren't mine. Blargh. Spend ten minutes refreshing the server list, writhing in anguish each time one comes up that's not mine. Finally give up and go eat dinner. Come back, YAY Bronzebeard's up! Hm, it's taking a while to load my characters. Ah, there we go. Enter world! ...Hm. Shiny new load screen, progress bar 100%, music fades... Nothing. Just sticks.
Discuss: Am I making too big a deal out of this? Is this patch failure, or just waaaay too many people trying to log on and check out their new stuffs at the same time?
EDIT: lol, after five minutes sitting at the loading screen I finally get in, then remember I forgot to update my addons :< So now I've gotta log in again xD

Yeah, said the realms were gonna be up by 3pm my time, and well, now it's four and it won't load my character list. I'm too impatient to wait for more than 5 minutes for my character list to load, heck, it shouldn't take that long.

It aggravated me too . . . but I'm sure they're doing the best that they can, and it probably doesn't help that everyone's probably trying to get on at the same time. >>;; . . .

Yeah, this used to happen more often when they were releasing more patches prior to TBC. Our MC nights was Tuesday so guess what? They had a bad patching day or a bad maintenance day and our run was screwed. It's just reminding me of this, except now I probably won't log in until midnight PST and get my last half level on my fourth toon.
Edit: I think I'll sit down and pop a DVD or two and watch them. Call it a day to relax...or find a book. Yeah, a book sounds good.

Goddamn you "Retrieving Character List" screen.
I was on for like 10 minutes, I went to turn on my bar mod and it booted me out and now I can't get in.

Gilneas crashed again, blarrg, but I did get to train my new skills and learn my pets/mounts etc. Was kinda fun. I am SORT of worried however one or two guildmates learned all their pets and then they disappeared last night. mad

There is information when you first log in. We had a few guildies loose some really rare mounts during the whole crashing scenario. So we're praying they don't loose them period.
