Im looking for a tube head for less than a grand.. i found the new peavy one for 800 but i dont really like anything peavy.. sick of solid state peaking tho... sounds shitty.. want some warm tube tone..

Peavy Tube amps are the s**t, you cant go wrong wit it, i got a 1600 wat tube amp head, and a peavy cabinent, it was about $1600

I'm waiting for Ashdown to come out with their American line of amps.. sweet looking stuff in the works

Without fail. That and the head I have now seems to not want to do what I need it to do. Got the Peavey Pro Tour 700 watt head, into an Ampeg 8x10 SVT classic, and the Peavey clips at half volume, whether or not I have the BBE processor on.

I really would like to look into upgrading in the next few years to some thing amazing. i believe they plan to release it this spring or summer... a pic of its on ashdowns website... check it out.. it has the spec sheet to... basically an EVO III preamp with an all tube poweramp
