George smiled, his hands stuffed in his pockets and leaning down towards the playing team. He took the clipboard and detached the pokedex on the back, handing it to Shizu.

"Well don't forget this," he teased, "but really, there's not much else I can help you with. It's a long road to Poison Ridge, and even then, there aren't much facilities to facilitate recovering trainers on their way to Tumbleweed Town - that's the closest Pokemon Gym to here; but I'm sure Eevee - er - Sunlight, will keep you safe. Even so, take your time, enjoy the lab or familiarize yourself with the Pokemart and their products perhaps, or even the Pokemon Center." George sighed thinking about the asthmatic cough the girl gave earlier. "Make sure to come back to Bistre when you can," he finished with a nod.



Amy saw her opening and took a tiny step forward, "Perhaps," she piped, "after I chose my own pokemon, we could battle, if only friendly, and head off to the Pokemon Center." She spun her head towards George, "That is, presuming this room is equipped for something like that?"

She was pleased when he hummed an approval.

Suddenly brave, Amy hurried around Shizu and Sunlight, and reached for a resting bulbasaur. It lay resting in the grass, its eyes slitted and aware. It was obviously riled by her presence; its turtle like legs shuffled backwards away from her grip, and it's bulb arched aggressively, but Amy held fast. The suspicious glare in the bulbasaur's eyes implied so much wisdom and consciousness, that Amy would have no other. She raised her left palm to the front of its face, and was greeting with a sniff and a - chomp!

"Aie!" Amy squeaked, pulling back at first with great speed, and then freezing as the pokemon laughed.

"Ba-ba-ba-ba," it croaked as it stood, now smiling at the pale young woman. Amy smiled back and turned to George, a hand firmly planted on her hat.

"Yes, I chose bulbasaur," she confirmed before tilting her head towards Shizu again, "Will you wait?"

Amy looked up at George expectantly, and he smiled at the two eager individuals, pulling Amy's necessary documents from the wall, handing them to her.



Amy bit her lip and nodded her head, turning to Shizu, "I'll meet you outside then if you like." Quickly she scribbled away.

Amy snapped the pokeball to her specially fashioned yellow belt and stuffed the Pokedex in her backpack before handing George back Haruo's new file. Haruo had shuffled over to Amy's side by this point and watched its pokeball make its way to her belt, gasping a little when it did. She smiled down at the pokemon, "That's right," she confirmed, "you're stuck with me now."

"Saaaur," Haruo cooed as he digested the information, then nudging his head up against Amy's leg, a little violently, and the young girl expected to bruise, but she held firm and reached down to the pokemon's bulb as he nuzzled against her.

"My little Haruo," she voiced, naming her starter permanently.

The bulbasaur's red eyes sparkled up at Amy, before squinting in an excited smile and hopping towards the door.

"Baa-baa!" he encouraged, eager for battle, so that he might prove his thanks to the girl who would show him friendship.

Amy ran off after him, turning to George with a wave as she scurried to the staircase, waving, "Goodbye!"

He smiled a weak and irrelevant dismissal, and soon Amy was out of the Laboratory, her dress swirling in the dry winds of Dryleaf's outdoors. She held her hat to her head, despite the tie and swung around looking for Shizu.

Amy blushed and clenched her fists; a grin on her face, but nervousness reeked off the young girl.

"You ready Haruo?" she asked, firming her stance in the hard ground.

"Bull..." he gurgled in reply, nodding at their opponents.

"Shizu," Amy called, "I am Aimi Yoshida ... Growl Haruo!"

The bulbasaur growled excitedly, sounding less fierce than Amy had hoped, although it was only now that she remembered the vast differences between Screech, Roar and Growl ... but nevertheless. It was her first time ordering a pokemon about, and at least Haruo hadn't disobeyed.

Haruo slid backwards, a little bumped up by the hit, but grating its claws into the dust to keep balance and dignity. He huffed softly, spraying sand between the two battlers. Amy's eyes widened, worried and thrilled all at once. She bit her lip and called out again, throwing her arm up this time,

"Haruo, tackle as well!"

Although it resembled a headbutt from the position Haruo was caught in, he obeyed the order exactly, throwing his own sturdy form at the eevee.

((Roll a dice (with any restrictions), and call odd or even - if you get it, you can win! ... I have to get off while I bus home XD but I'll be back after!))

"er um TAIL no...ah! HELPING HAND!" Shizu calls panicking. of course the move failed and sunlight was sent flying from the tackle. "oh no! sun! i'm so sorry! are you ok?" Shizu runs over to her pokemon and tries to examine it. "vee!" sunlight protests. and runs back to the battle field. "you...you want to keep fighting?" Shizu asks confused.
"vee." sunlight nodds. "um ok then. how about, Tail whip!" Shizu calls out, no longer certian about herself

((i was planning on ending it now anyway. ^^)) sunlight took another flying hit. "veeeeeeeee!" she cries as she arcs up and hits the ground with a painful thud. "SUNLIGHT!" Shizu cires out ans races over to the fallen eevee. "i'm sorry, but it looks like we are not able to battle anymore. it looks like you win this battle." shizu says scooping up sunlight in her arms. "i'm going to find a pokemon center. it was nice meeting you amy. i hope to see you on the road." she gives an awkward bow with sunlight still in her arms and goes over to the pokemon center.
