For my Halloween costume, I'm working on a zippered hoodie/vest and I'm making it out of random scrappy stuff I have. It's made mostly out of puke-green burlap and I took the zipper off the side of some old tripp pants.
The zipper is kinda short, though, so it only goes from the bottom to about mid-rib, so the upper part will have straps and buttons holding it together. And the inside and hood will be lined with this really cool grey ribbed fabric. :]
Despite being made out of what looks like an old potato sack, it's almost "tailored" and fits amazingly.
And the gas mask is going to be made out of faux leather, soup cans, and a kool-aid cannister. rofl
I already have the front filter (the kool aid thing) painted and it looks awesome.
I'm kinda going for a salvaged-from-scraps post-apocalyptic scavenger punk kinda look.
YEAH. I love Halloween. >:3

Pictures will come once it's more finished. Right now the hoodie is just a vest, and I'm considering leaving it sleeveless. I might line the edge with some grey faux fur, if I can find where I put it.
Oh man, and I totally bought some glow-in-the-dark thread. >: D YEAH. And glowy paint, too. Now it'll have radioactive thread!
It seems, that when my brain is functioning, I constantly scribble out plans for things like this. I just never have the time to work on them all. XD
