I just got word today that a friend of mine (a classmate that I started crushing on in our Freshman year) is in the hospital in a coma. He had a severe headache and found out that there was a tumor as well as blood clots in his head. One tumor has been removed (also the blood clot) but another one was found. He slipped into a coma after the first surgery so they can't remove the second tumor.
It brings me down because I still think he's awesome and I (truthfully) did hit on him... I've seen him at least three times this semester [passing each other after parking; his class walking pass me with their ground samples (for Geology); chatting about life {me talking about an online Aquarium - guess where} and wishing each other good luck with life]. I just can't believe that one week I'd be talking with him and the next I'd be reading from our school website that he's in the hospital in a coma. Oh... life.... sad
