Why do people hate babies?
One of my best friends is a pro-life/pro-choicer. he believes in the decision that you should have-but once the baby is concepted, you should not.
Honestly, I think about it and I don't know what to do. I really like my friend-he's badass, and more like a brother now than anything else...so we settled on the issue and he recently moved, but the question bugs me.
Do any of have the same situation
PS: Me and my friend that was mentioned have known each other close to 6 years now-he was there when my great grandma passed away, he was there when my father popped his tendon out of place, and this is the only thing that we have EVER disagreed on.

First of all, Choicers don't hate babies. Their opinion is more complicated than that. Second of all, just because someone's Pro-Choice doesn't mean you can't be friends. I've got lots of Pro-Choice friends. So that's not something to make or break a friendship on.

Besides, he's hardly even Pro-Choice; It sounds like he's the wishy-washy, "It's wrong, but I can't make your choice for you" type Pro-Choicer.

That sounds like contraception. Am I misunderstanding this?

It sounds like you're saying that he thinks once conception takes place, abortion is not okay, in his opinion, but before that you can decide whether or not to have a child? I might be tired and reading it wrong, but would you please clarify?

Sry, wat i meant to way was that he thinks that there is a limit-like once the baby becomes a thinking organism, like 2 or 3 months in, then there is a problem.

Ah. I see. What's the issue here? Are you trying to decide whether it is healthy to be friends with him? I have many friends who are utterly pro-choice. I also have many who are utterly pro-life. I treat all of their opinions with equal respect--I don't always agree, but I listen.
