The Canadian federal election, set for 14 October 2008, will decide our next Prime Minister...
Then, a little less than a month later will be the United States presidential election, set for 4 November, 2008, will decided the next President and the Vice President...
Both set for a Tuesday... They must like Tuesday for some reason..
Anyways, for those of you voting, have you given any thought as to who your voting for yet?
You don't have to tell me who, just that you've given it some thought... and that you are going to vote.

Being an informed voter, I decide my vote based on qualifications and not party affiliation, 90% of the time. If both candidates are equally qualified, I look for party affiliation. As for who I will vote for inP the upcoming U.S. Presidential election, I will only say that I can't afford, nor want, another 4 years of the same kind of administration that we have had for the last 4 years. Hence, massive change is in order. As for the qualifications of the candidate I plan to vote for, that person has chosen quite wisely for his Vice Presidential running mate, making for a well rounded ticket. What the President may not have in total overall experience- which isn't that big a deal since he's been a U.S. Senate for "x" number of years, his running mate not only makes up for, but the kinds of experience both men have covers everything that a good president needs. And the Cabinet is for bringing in advisors that the President trusts will be good for the country- hence giving him (in this instance all candidates are male) a wealth of knowledge and people who can give educated and sound advice. At least a good President does that. Too bad the current one has none of the above qualifications!!!
