I just wanted to put this out there cuz i know the idea if centaur culture on gaia has been thrown around here so ya =3

This is just random stuff so please share and expand and ask questions.

Origin>>Well i don't quite remember how centaurs appeared on gaia although i know they came about the fish.

However i was thinking of going along the lines of greek mythology and i think a few others were thinking that too.

At first i figured we shud go with the story about centaurs being created by "rain and cloud" but those taurs were just known to be barbaric/simple and drunk. and since we are looking for culture, that just wudnt do.

So then I thot about the centaur Chiron and how he was suppose to be different from the others, more intelligent and such and i figured we should be considered more like him. However i think being his descendants was too cliche, so i thought that maybe we cud be the descendants of his brothers and sisters. But im pretty sure Chiron didnt have any so we wud be the decsendants of Cronus and Philyra's secret children

(the ones i just made up lol)(if we went with that we cud add mor to the story and fill in blanks but thats the gist)

making us more intelligent.

This also separates centaurs. since a group came from a different place. It gives the centaur race mor color i think. so they are not just centaurs.

as for language and stuff. im pretty sure centaurs will learn whatever.

but making a whole other language/code wud be too difficult on gaia so i suggest some slang/taur jargon be made a habbit of using.

like in harry potter they say "Merlin's Beard!!" we cud have a few things like that. Insults too and whotnot but just little and practical things.

uhmmmmm as for what we cud stand for...

for obvious reasons and the fish thing as well as chiron's knowledge in medicine we're environmentalists and probably a bit progressive-ish...however since we are different from people we are more ethnocentric...so whatever breakthroughs we have in magic/medicine and whatever are usually kept pretty much within us and not neccessarily spread around for the good of gaians everywhere...this is unintentional it just works out that way becuz of how we are. we're not hording secrets or anything.

uhmmm and since we're ethnocentric...or just a tight knit group we're not bad when it comes to the militaristic stuff either..we sorta stick together.

and i think we shud definetly be fighters.

well for traditions and other things i didnt rlly come up with much but having a few set holidays and gatherings (with good reason to them) wud be a good place to start. like having a memorial day for some great centaur vs. human battle in our history or watever.


like the halloween thing with the masks was a good idea.


and just things to keep ppl involved and tradition will come from there..

maybe an entertainment commitee or something if there isnt alrdy..an active one to keep others active.

uhmm......OH YEA.

remember this is kinda fundamental stuff. i mean i heard it mentioned that centaurs prob wudnt be using guns or anything like that prob but i dont think thats true.

we're still gaians and we come from all different places in gaia too. Like a centaur cud hav spent mor time in the city and he does carry a gun and wear a leather jacket instead of a bow and arrow or sword and armor or live in the forest etc. maybe ur just a young mare that lives like a normal human in some small town but whatever u get it.

i mean the bulk i suspect wud be mor wat we are all generaly describing but obviously its not left at that.
