Christianity still sponsors the burning of witches...
Oh which continent please???? I studied Catholic Theology for 4 years and not even the word "witch" has ever been a topic.
But that leads to extremism again. Of course there will always be people who will go too far for the right reasons. I mean I can understand that some people do not want a society like ours. The sexual revolution has not only helped being aware of pleasure and dangerous things, but also made it something less valuable... and there are a lot of more things to critisize. On the other hand you will find other bad things in islamistic (? what's the adjective?) society. I think it where you wanna live depends on which errors you can handle better.
Nevertheless. During my studies I had to learn about another religion as well, so I chose Islam. I think it is a more open aggressive religion than the christian one. That Jews were killed by them is a important fact of the history. I know christians also did extremely cruel things and some still do. But nobody would ever think this was a glorious thing to let following generations know.
On the other hand it might be a more truthful way to tell everbody about the past...
In the end everything is a matter of opinion.
Therefore I think I don't consider the Islam as dangerous itself, but I am afraid of people who tend to get too far. And those people can be found in ANY religion or group who follows ideals.
