Ok, I have A fender squire. I like to play a bit of music. More of rock then anything.
Emily - from first to last
Metallica - one
james bond theme song
Tears don't fall - bfmv

So, what type of string size should i have on my guitar.
everyone tells me it depends on my style, what i play.
I had 9's on there, and i just didn't like them

Btw, looking to get some red strings. DR ones i think they are.

If you're gonna get DR, don't get their uncoated strings. Get one of the coated ones.

I would say a good .10-48/50 would be good. It'd give you a better, more bassier tone and a lot of sustain (the thicker the gauge, the more sustain and bass). I have .10-.52's on mine at the moment, and I don't like the tone... not enough high-end for me. I want .10-.46's (unless they have .48's... I can't remember xD)

Well, the sad truth is it doesn't really matter. I have played One by Metallica on both 9's and 10's. The only thing i know of that is significant to real tonal difference in songs is if you drop tune and use heavy strings. Don't forget that you should select the neck pickup if you want a more
rythm sound unlike the bridge which is more of a lead. It all depends on what your getting at...you can be as picky as you want but its gonna really be the same thing.
