Pouncing at a branch, Misaki played alone in a large clearing, unaware and unexpecting. So, the sudden yearning she felt in her heart was a great surprise. Perking up, she glanced wide-eyed around the clearing. Someone had called her. And boy, they were close! Jumping from the ground, she hovered in place for a moment before speeding forward and into the trees at her right. "I'll find you!" she called happily.
It didn't take long, she came upon a darkness within the brown and green. "It's you!" she shouted, coming upon her 'victim' with no warning at all. "You're the one who's heart is calling out, aren't you?" She already knew this was the one without asking. "That's great! I'm glad you're ready to find yourself." Still hovering, she looked up to the canopy, eyes beginning to glow. "I'll be your guide. Let's go!" The world around them began to melt. Leaves dripped to the ground. And then, in a bright white flash, the normal world was gone and replaced with a desaturated one.
"Here we are! It's your heart." Lowering to the ground and looking around, she giggled. "I bet you'll be able to make this world bright, too." Turning away, she raised a paw and pointed to a mountain, barely visible through the thickness of the trees. "See that? On the other side of that mountain is a place that holds what can help you. Just find the cave and you'll know what to do." Smiling, she raised herself up again, her body become slowly less visible against the forest backdrop.
"Good luck, Miss Alima!" she said, long quills swaying as she laughed again. "I believe in you! Bye-bye~!" With those words, there was a flash and she faded away completely. The giggling echoed through the trees, taking longer fade than her physical form had. And so, Alima was alone in this heart world with little explaination, left to find the answer on her own.
Your adventure begins now. Good luck.

"I'll find you!" was the call that met Alima's ears. She looked around and flashed a bit of a smile when the interesting youngster spotted her not too long later. A laugh escaped her. "It is me." She blinked angled her head slightly. Alima had been feeling introspective lately, but she hadn't imagined that her heart's calls would've been picked up by anyone.
"I truly believe I am." The dark female didn't really seem to be terribly bothered by the fact that the younster was hovering above the ground. Always one to believe that everything happened for a reason, to her there was a reason that the unusual cub had found her, she would just have to see why. Alima followed the girl's gaze towards the canopy with piqued interest. Her glowing eyes flitted about them as the world that surrounded them began to melt away. She winced slightly at the brilliant white flash.
Alima blinked and drank in the world that they had arrived in. "My heart?" She gazed around at the vast world around them. She made a thoughtful sound before she returned her gaze to the cub, with a bit of a smile. "I can certainly try." This was certainly an interesting turn of events. She could see the mountain through the thick trees. Giving a nod, Alima carefully listened to what the girl cub had to say. "Alright. I can do that."
She watched as the other began to drift up towards the canopy. "Thank you...hun." Alima hadn't picked up the youngster's name but it didn't really matter terribly at this point. She had been taken to the world of her heart and she had a task set before her. Alima wasn't one to back down, so this would all prove to be quite an adventure. Her glowing eyes shifted towards the looming shape of the mountain. Her mind was buzzing with thoughts as the other's echoing giggles faded on the wind. "The quickest way to another place is a straight line. So, it's over the mountain for me. Unless there is a cavern that goes through." She shook her head with a shrug and began travelling through the dense trees towards the mountain where the answer to all of her searching lay, hopefully. It would be a long and possibly trying journey, but she hoped it would be a interesting adventure to experience.

This was the beginning. Alone in the strange and unfamiliar world of her heart, Alima set out heading up towards the mountain. She could tell that she was going in the right direction as the grade of the land gradually angled upward. Even the sunlight seemed dim as beams broke through the thick foliage overhead.
After what seemed like hours of walking, Alima began to feel the wear of travelling uphill. There was a break in the trees and the mountain seemed larger and closer than before. A good sign, but one that made her feel even more weary. It was going to take a lot of work. The dark female debating about whether or not to stop and take a short break to gather a bit of strength or to press on and see how far she could get before sleep overcame her. "I can't stop now." She feared that if she'd stop there then she'd lose valuable daylight.
Alima pressed on, feeling as if her feet were made of lead. She didn't get much farther before her feet threatened to give out from underneath her. She nestled against an aged gray tree amidst its twists roots and soon her heavy lids fluttered closed.

Alima jolted into full awareness from a dead sleep, a vaguely familiar raised voice fading into the back of her mind as sleep left her. She had jumped up into a crouch when she woke. Her glowing eyes flitted here and there.
She had dreamed something, but it had left her as soon as she had opened her eyes. With a shake of her head, she tried to grasp for some remnant of what she had dreamed but it was useless. Alima stood up and looked skyward. The dim sky did little to tell her what time of day it was or how long she had slept.
No matter. It was probably nothing. The dark female had more important things to worry about, like reaching the other side of the mountain. Alima turned toward her goal and pressed on, feeling refreshed if a bit rattled from her foggy dream.

The dark female climbed on top of a large mossy topped boulder and scanned her surroundings. Around her was a grove of silvery birch trees, their spindly branches jutting out into the ait and towards the surrounding trees. There was a break in the canopy of foliage overhead. The thick velvety clouds hung low around the mountain, obscuring the peak from view.
Alima was nearing the base of the mountain, all she had to do was navigate through the foothill that were in between her and her goal.
The wind whistled bitterly, causing the dry leaves to rattle and shake. She hoped dearly that it wasn't going to storm, for rain would certainly dampen her spirits. She had faith though. Alima knew she had the strength in her to make it through almost anything that life through at her.

As she walked, occasionally whispers could be heard on the wind. They sounded distant but vaguely familiar or at least that was the feeling Alima was getting whenever she heard them. There were male and female voices, as well as the occasional bit of phantom laughter from cubs. It made her smile. She loved the sound of happy cubs. It meant to her that they were well cared for and given the nuturing love that they deserved.
The grade of the terrain was growing steeper and more rocky as she climbed. The air grew cooler and mist shrouded the land. Alima could scarcely see a few feet in front of her at some points. The wind would howl through the mountain crags and it made her black as pitch coat stand on end. It was an eerie sound that drowned out the whispering winds.

After a time the wind stilled and the swirling mists began to close in around her, obsuring much of the path ahead from view. Alima debated briefly whether or not to find a place to wait out and see if the mist would clear away sometime soon. She knew that traversing unfamiliar terrain with limited vision.
But...how unfamiliar could it be? I mean this is supposed to be my heart world. Shouldn't I be somewhat familiar with my inner realms?
Her pace slowed as she puzzled on this. Raj and Roma came to her mind, bringing a fond smile to her face. Raj was so confident and yet always ended up getting lost. Poor fellow had a terrible sense of direction and too much pride to ask for help. Lucky for him, Roma, who often acted as a sister to the tiger kylan, was fantastic at finding her way in even strange places. She often bailed him out of the predicaments that he got himself into.

She had gotten to reminising about the clan that sort of formed around her. It had all started with tiny Tynan and grew into a decent band of Kylan, five strong. They all were precious and she held them all as close family members. Each of them meant a lot to her, coming from a young adult all alone in the world to have a loving close knit family, it was wonderful. Each thought of them made her heart swell.
Alima shook her head from her musings and looked around, her golden glowings eyes suddenly alert, free of the reflective fog of her musings. She hadn't paid much attention to where she was going. Her feet had simply carried her where ever they felt. The mists had lifted amd she had wandered off of the track that she had elcected to follow.
Her ears drew back slightly as she gathered her bearings, or tried to. The mist may have lifted but the sky overhead was beginning to dim. Not too far from where she stopped there was a birch tree that had begun to fall but was stopped when it came into contact with a far sturdier old growth oak. An idea came to her. She may not have wings or what have you, but she was quite the practiced climber.
Alima leapt up onto the birch and cautiously made her way up its papery trunk. The dark femme breathed a sigh of relief when she was abble to safely spring onto a thick branch of oak. She climbed higher, using the branches as steps to reach the top.

With a bit of effort, Alima broke through the top leaves of the oak. She gazed out over the land in awe. The forest was expansive covering seeming to span hundreds and hundreds of miles, blending into gray as it neared the distant horizon. She turned and looked up at the dark mountain. It was silouhetted against the sky and seemed larger in the growing dark.
"It would be best if I stay here for the night," Alima told herself aloud. "I can find my way in the morning."
She eased down from the very top of the tree and made her way to a thick wide branch. The darm female dropped down on it from a branch or two above to test its strength. It held strong. Alima settled down against the trunk, her tail curled close to her body. There were enough branches to provide a wind screen so she could rest peacefully, at least she hoped so.

Just a Alima began to doze and her heavy lids began to close, a series of lights came into her field of view. She watched them through half closed eyes as they danced about her head. She wearily lifted her head to get a better look at them. They were tiny things and at any one time there appeared to be between two and six of them. At first Alima thought that they were simply fireflies, but upon squinting at them for a time she could see that they were just orbs of light.
The orbs were all basically white, but some had a little tint of another color such as orange, purple, yellow, blue, red, or silver. Alima tipped her head slightly and gazed at the lights inquisitively. "What are you?" She pondered silently to herself.
It was then a little group of voices reached her ears. She couldn't understand them, but they sounded happy and young. It sounded as if they were purring and trilling softly to her before as quickly as they came they took off into the night. Alima blinked sleepily and let a slow smile grow on her features as she settled her head down. In no time, a sound sleep fell upon the dark female, her smile never fading from her face.

A faint, happy pink lit the leaves nearby. Another dance of color had begun, though it was already much more predictable and much less detached than the last. The glow was moving closer and closer, weaving between branches with childlike enthusiasm, but never betraying the limitations of being physically bound. Unlike the last, these orbs of color weren't orbs at all, but eyes carried by a certain happy-go-lucky cub. Even in the dark she could see quite well.
It wasn't by chance that Misaki had found herself in this world again. Lost in her dreams, she'd been snuck up on by an unknown intruder. A gentle, but firm paw on her shoulder told her all she'd needed to know. With a grin, the newly dubbed 'it-cub' turned tail as quickly as possible, taking after the group of shadows that had appeared at her back. Unluckily, she'd lost her targets, but not before noticing the shift of the world around her. The candy-colored world within her had dulled and transitioned into this very familiar gray forest.
"Miiisss Aliiimaaa~" she whispered playfully into the sleeping female's ear. However, it wasn't just her own voice that resounded. With each breath she took, the laughter of many spilled from her soul. "Are you going to sleep all day?" she questioned, despite the darkness the sky still held. "It's time to play a game!" Raising her paw, she returned the soft tap that her shadow playmate had given earlier. "Taaaag. You're it." The last of her words drifted into an eerie echo as she faded from view. On the ground below, leaves rusted all around. The once quiet world was suddenly full of unusual life.
"Catch us if you can! Eeeheheheheee~"
