Okay, so if you know me you should know that I'm engaged to be married to my Alex... and we finally settled on a date.
We were thinking Halloween but that's way too played out, almost as much as Valentine's day. Then we thought Christmas since that's my birthday, and also the day we got engaged... but nah, who would go to a wedding on Christmas anyway?
After lots of thought and debates we decided on March 13th of 2010... not March like in 5 months, but March in 17 months from now, it will give me a ton of time to plan and get things going... not to mention making my dress, that's right I'm making my own dress, and the bridesmaid dresses, and the flower girl dress, and the Tuxedos, yeah all going to be made by me burning_eyes
So if anyone's interested I'll be posting updates and whatnot right here, in our little guildOctober 10, 2008 UpdateSo I started thinking about designs for my dress, and the other dresses, these are kind of what I'll be basing my ideas off of: And I'm making Tuxedos for the groom and guys so here's my idea of what they should look like: And I'll be making a ton of masquerade masks because all the ones I've seen in stores look tacky, so hopefully they'll look something like this: We're going for an 1800s type theme and yeah making these will take a while. If you've ever seen The Phantom of the Opera, or Van Helping, both have masquerade ball things and that's the theme an inspiration for the wedding... Damn that's alot of sewing

Oh come now, vickaroo. just because i have CIA connections and can hack into the traffic cameras and what not around Arizona doesn't mean i know where you are going to have your wedding unless you tell me! and you wont because i'm friendly on here but in real life >.> ssshhhhyeah lets leave it at that.
hey bridezilla, take a couple of deep breaths and don't over analyze things. you got over a year to plan this so take your time and don't overload yourself. you may want to start on the sewing though... my sister makes costumes for anime conventions and she can't make something simple in three months, and she's good at costume design.
remember! i love giving people s**t! just tell me to back off and i'll stop : D

Yeah, today I'll be going to look for fabrics and whatnot because sewing what I've designed is going to take forever burning_eyes
But I've brought it on myself, so I'll suck it up and get to sewing

Yea, I know you don't know me. I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS and that I am so Jealous. I love that theme and the dresses and tuxs are amazing. LOL I'd love to steal your theme ideas whenever it is I finally get married to someone. Congrats and good luck. And don't stress. You'll be one bridezilla that won't have to fuss at too many other people because you seem like you'll be doing a lot on your own hehe.

I love the idea for for your dress, and the tuxedos! Man, if only I could bring Anne Rice's world into my weeding!! (which is like 6 years away, too young!) Sadly I can not, since I want a religious wedding and my family knows my dark taste! But I guaranty that the color scheme will be black/red and white!! *stops rambling*
Congratulations, I hope we get to see pictures of the big day!

If this topic isn't already dead, I LOVE the red one! X3 Red is a passionate color, a color I have no right to wear... I think a dark and unnoticably purple velvet for the groom. Something to give what seems to be black an effect, a wonderful one. I would have a hard time finding the right type of shoes for that dress. Congradulations at finding love as some of us have much trouble even noticing others(and I'm at that age! XC).
