We did t-shirts for DoS a couple weks ago and that was a big success. We had maybe over 200 people participate. We were also in the Pride Parde in NoHo May 2nd. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca1oIhcHR2w&NR=1 When you see the person in the tie-dye shirt and a girl with the flag as a cape, that's us. Holyoke High's GSA.
We're winding down now and this upcoming Wednesday, we're having a party.
Also, back in April, we went to a confrence where we discussed coming out stories, we had workshops, problems and ways to deal with them. We met a couple people and it was really cool.
Also, last week on May 29th, we had our third annual Pride Prom.

During our meetings we talked about what we wanted to do, and then we talked about what type of fundraisers we wanted to do, and made posters. Then, we got stuff ready for the fundraising. We sold candy during lunch to do so. We got Day of Silence T-shirts and near the end of the year we officially because a group. Before we were allowed to meet and had a supervisor, but the administration weren't allowed to consider us an official group, whether or not they wanted to. We also participated in the Minnesota AIDS Walk. Some members will be participating in the Minneapolis Pride Parade, although they'll be doing it as Out For Equity, not our GSA. Six of us, me included, talked to a group of teachers as a panel. We also started to plan for next year. We want to do the AIDS walk and Day of Silence again, of course, but we also want to get cardboard cut-outs of GLBT students who have had trouble with discrimination and put their stories on them, as well as hold a dance for all of the GSAs in our district. Oh, and we want actual GSA t-shirts. We got nominated to go down to this national GSA convention in August down in Texas, although it's not a sure thing because we were only nominated and need to be picked out of all the other GSAs that were also nominated.

that was what i wanted to do also, the dance for the local GSAs. i was thinking of a gay prom, cos there are some in LA, but i don't think around here.
