That is incorrect. Semen is ejaculated into the v****a to give it a bit of a push, but that push doesn't get the sperm all the way to where it needs to be. Sperm can also swim, and they do swim to reach their goal. So it is possible for sperm to swim from your vaginal opening up to your egg. It's a longer tougher journey for them, but they can do it.
Since you're becoming more sexually active, I'd suggest doing some research on this stuff and maybe getting some birth control.
Here are some sites for more information:
""Dry" sex really isn't "dry sex" anymore once body fluids come into the equation. When we're talking about dry sex, we're talking about genital humping or grinding where the people involved ARE clothed and where fluids are not exchanged. If you were both nude, and he was rubbing or grining his p***s against your vulva and/or vaginal opening, that was no longer dry -- that's basically what lives between dry sex and intercourse -- and risks exist with that activity that do not exist with actually dry sex: risks of pregnancy, risks of sexually transmitted infections....If you do not wish to become pregnant, it's vital that if you're going to be having direct genital-to-genital contact that you only do so while using a reliable method of birth control."

This is when there is no penetration, but there is skin to skin contact of the genital area. Again, anytime the p***s and the vaginal area come into contact, there is the slight risk of pregnancy and a risk for STD transmission."
