Don't get me started on that horrid day including irritable popular and inconsistent preppy-bitches stealing all the offices of the club from the loyal, EXPERIENCED SEAMSTRESSES or the fact that my model STOOD ME UP.
My school's sewing/fashion club might potentially host a fashion show. The discussions were, "The more experienced sewers (beckons towards me and my good acquaintance Liz) can create collections."
(Then the aforementioned preppy girls proceeded to complain and yell out, "BUT WE DON'T MAKE FULL OUTFITS" WELL THEN, GIRLS, I guess you'll just have to beat that BEAST to the ground, now won't you? Start MAKING full outfits, stop complaining, or don't even ENTER!!)
So I plan on entering a collection consisting of (I need to scan in my design sketches. Once I do, I'll share with y'all): -Men's VK/Aristocratic Fusion -Men's VK Outfit -Unisex Cosplay Kei Outfit (Big Franken, for those of you that are familiar with Mix Speaker's,Inc) -Female Sweet Lolita Outfit -Female Gothic Lolita Outfit -Potential Female Punk/Tomboy Outfit? -Potential Decora outfit?
Do you fellow Lolita girls want to contribute some designs? I make my own patterns, so don't worry about providing that. Just doodle away anything your heart can think of! And tht you want to share with me.
Also - some questions. Do you think this is a good idea? Do you think my selection of outfits is a good way to introduce Japanese fashions? Do you think my outfits are designed well? Too much? Too little? Good? Terrible? Do you think the school will admit a freshman from college in as a model?xposted

I think it would be cool if you send the models out in order of simmlar looking outfits so it goes in this order gothic Lolita vk aristocrat fusion mens vk unisex cosplay kei female punk decora sweet
This way the outfits next to each other are either similar in style or color, but everything flows so its not like wham gothic chunk, then wham pink chunck.
-I think its a good idea, just make sure everything is your own design and shows who you are as a designer. -As for introducing Japanese fashions, don’t put too much emphasis on explaining that they are this. Say its your take on popular street fashion. Don’t elaborate or people might not get it or be put off by it. -I haven’t seen any of your outfits so I don’t know if they are designed well, please post a link to them. -I don’t see why age would matter for the models. If you are having trouble finding one, just ask some random person at school who fits the look of the outfit.
I would love to send you some of my designs, that would be way fun. <3
As for the girls who don’t sew every thing, they can bite it. They should try or not enter. In my mind fashion design is 50% idea and 50% execution. If they have no desire to attempt to execute their designs themselves then they shouldn’t be there. People who only do the idea part of the design process end up working for someone else’s vision. Tell them that, mabey it will kick them off their high horses.

Well, it sounds like a good platform. As long as you put in your own good "haute couture" splash in there and don't make it cosplaic, it'll be great. It would be nice to see those designs! BTW, What school do you attend? Could it be New York's FIT? Or SCAD?
(haute couture is overused, I'm sorry I used it!)

HAHA LOL
I'm a Sophomore in High School, which is why the Freshman-of-College thing is a difficult issue. Also, I go to the Sachem district on Long Island.
I have more designs than models, so I think I might make some polls going on here. XD

I fully agree with fiaria's suggestion to send the models in an order that flows easily between different aesthetics. I especially like the idea of starting with one sort of lolita and ending with another-- it gives a neat and tidy beginning and end, taking them through a full circle. If that makes any sense.
As someone who's done her best to help you along with any other sewing ventures thus far, I think that I'm obligated to say that I fully approve of this. wink I prefer to keep my designs to myself, but I'm happy to offer opinions, suggestions, critiques, etc of any designs you want feedback on.
Overall, I really look forward to seeing what you can come up with, and wish you the best of luck! Keep us informed on your progress. heart

The list of outfits are NOT IN ORDER, so please stop suggesting orders. Though the orders you did give sound about right.
Cryrin fully approves?<33 Huzzah! I will totally post those sketches soon, as soon as I finish this one RP character's picture. (gotta colour it?)
I'll scan everything in at once.

Outfit 1 (I lost the pants and the skirt that went with the outfit when I was scanning. But rest assured, it's equally as cool.) Outfit 3 (I don't think I like this coat anymore) Outfit 4 (I really like this outfit!)

Thanks.
And by the way, ruffles are those square-looking things and lace, any shape, is represented by a scalloped line.

You have pretty adorable designs ^_^ I think the idea is great as long as the designs flow well into each other.

I also added a cyberpunk outfit to the mix. I plan on adding a patchwork/zombie/guro outfit.
