Don't get me started on that horrid day including irritable popular and inconsistent preppy-bitches stealing all the offices of the club from the loyal, EXPERIENCED SEAMSTRESSES or the fact that my model STOOD ME UP.

My school's sewing/fashion club might potentially host a fashion show. The discussions were, "The more experienced sewers (beckons towards me and my good acquaintance Liz) can create collections."

(Then the aforementioned preppy girls proceeded to complain and yell out, "BUT WE DON'T MAKE FULL OUTFITS" WELL THEN, GIRLS, I guess you'll just have to beat that BEAST to the ground, now won't you? Start MAKING full outfits, stop complaining, or don't even ENTER!!)

So I plan on entering a collection consisting of
(I need to scan in my design sketches. Once I do, I'll share with y'all):
-Men's VK/Aristocratic Fusion
-Men's VK Outfit
-Unisex Cosplay Kei Outfit (Big Franken, for those of you that are familiar with Mix Speaker's,Inc)
-Female Sweet Lolita Outfit
-Female Gothic Lolita Outfit
-Potential Female Punk/Tomboy Outfit?
-Potential Decora outfit?

Do you fellow Lolita girls want to contribute some designs? I make my own patterns, so don't worry about providing that. Just doodle away anything your heart can think of! And tht you want to share with me.

Also - some questions.
Do you think this is a good idea?
Do you think my selection of outfits is a good way to introduce Japanese fashions?
Do you think my outfits are designed well? Too much? Too little? Good? Terrible?
Do you think the school will admit a freshman from college in as a model?

OF COURSE I'D POST PICTURES. What're the crosses at the bottom? Chains or lace?

I think it's TOO SIMPLE, but great for a beginner Lolita. I like over-the-top, and I want my fashion show to be MOAR OVER TEH TOPS than me.

The crosses are chain.
Ah,alright.I wish you luck on your show, and I hope you get some over-the-top-and-then-some designs!

(I lost the pants and the skirt that went with the outfit when I was scanning. But rest assured, it's equally as cool.)

I shall try during class and sketch something... I had a punk-ish outfit that I'm designing but it's quite sedate by most standards and not too over the top. I'm sure I'll have a better chance getting over the top with VK than lolita. I'll try though. ^______^

I think I'll add a cyberpunk outfit in there too. I just finished the sketch today (right now, actually, though I'll probably go back and edit it. THERE'S NOT ENOUGH CYBER IN MY PUNK.)

So you're going to take other people's designs as your own? Meh.

If you're going to do that you might as well copy off the brands and call it your own.

...What?

Um, you must've misunderstood everything here because I am using MY designs. I'm not a design-stealer of a replicator, thank you very much.

I was saying that I'm open to other people's designs if they wanted to contribute them but the ones I've gotten so far (in this thread ands others) I don't plan on using.

So please think before you type something like that, I'm taking that very offensively.

You seem to be easily irritated from most of the times I've read your posts. So I will take that with a grain of salt.

Also notice how I asked a clarifying question instead of saying "OMG YOURE LAME WTF STEALLERRR!!11!" I do hope you give contributors credit after your show, either way.

I think your outline of designs to come is limited to the Victorian influenced Japanese fashions, but if that's the only side you're looking at then you've got pretty good representation there.

If you want the full spectrum, though, you're going to want to include gyaru, hime, b-gal and the Japanese take on cyber (like DJ SiSen) [Edit: Just saw that you added that. Though SiSen is still a great reference], etc. I'm not so sure about including decora, because (I don't know this first hand) it seems like the fashion has all but died.

Ps. Using a croqui helps your designs look more professional and proportional.

Ah... What's a croqui?

And I wouldn't dare try Hime because, due to how new I am to all things Lolita, I probably won't be able to pull it off well. My original theme for my collection was flat-out Lolita and Kodona, but obviously I've branched into other areas that I like. What else do you think I should include? A big factor/problem is finding models and this is really influencing how much I can make and what I can make. I don't want to shove my friends into a bathroom stall with my meticulously and most likely badly made clothing to change before they go out next. And I'm so fickle with my designs - some aren't good enough, some have gotten old, some... I'm designing, then labeling what it is as opposed to decided ahead of time "I am going to make a Sweet outfit."

I want to have:
Cyber (No Model, No Material)
Punk/VK (No Model, No Material)
Classy Punk (The model is thrilled about the design!)
Aristocratic (No Design, No Decided Gender, No Model, No Material)
Gothic Lolita (I don't think I'll include this though)
Sweet Lolita (No model, no design, No material)
Country Lolita (Maybe me... But I don't wanna model...)

But that's a lot, you know? Another thing is that it'll be in warmer weather, the show. So should I just design heedless of the weather or should I try to make summer fashions? I think I should make what I want, but my mother says I should design things for nice weather...
