++REQUIREMENTS++ Battling is basically pitting your Robopons against each other in an epic deathmatch. Sounds awesome, right? It is. but before you can battle there are two things you need to know:
1) Not all Robopons can Battle. Some Robopons were created for sheer amusement and are to fragile or otherwise incapable of surviving the intensity of the battle chamber. Non-battling Robopons do not have skills. If your robopon's type isn't on this list, it can't battle.2) In order to battle your Robopon must be Registered. The battle registry is the user-maintained log of all actively battling Robopons. It keeps track of your Robopon's attack, skills, wins, losses, and other such things. Keeping the battle registry updated is your responsibility. Remember, if you don't have an up-to-date, accurate registry entry for your 'pon, you CANNOT battle it.

++ATTACK AND HITPOINTS++ Okay, now that you know the two requirements for battling, let's talk about how it works. The two most basic components are Attack (ATK) and Hitpoints (HP).
Attacking + Attacking is done by generating a number in your Robopon's attack range with the random number generator. + All Robopons currently have an attack range of 20-30 + If you roll a 20, you miss. The roll does no damage. + If you roll a 30, you do double damage. (so you would do 60 damage)
Hit Points + Hit points are how much "life" your Robopon has. When an opponent does damage, the amount of damage done is subtracted from your Robopon's HP (unless they roll a 20 and the turn is skipped). + The starting number of hit points varies between Robopon editions. The variations are: Regular = 200 HP Limited Edition = 205 HP Rare = 210 HP Legendary = 220 HP Lists of Regular, LE, Rare, and Legendary pons can be found in the List Sticky. + When a Robopon's HP reaches zero, that Robopon loses the battle.

++HOW TO FORMAT A BATTLE THREAD++ Battle threads are made in the Battling Section of the Robopon Guild. This post will outline how to set up a thread and make posts in it.
Titles Battle thread titles should be something along the lines of "USER1 VS. USER2". You can include the names of your pons in the thread title, as long as your usernames are there and easily recognizable.
More Importantly, whenever you finish a battle the maker of the thread needs to go back and edit the thread title to show who won the battle. Something along the lines of "USER1 VS. USER2 - winner: USER1". This is so the Battle mod can easily tell which battles need to be retired. It also makes it easier to keep score for monthly/weekly challenges etc.
Posts The first post by each challenger in a battle looks something like this:Quote: D.D. Knight HP: 220/220 ATK: 20-30 SKILLS: D.D. Dark Shroud "Let us to battle, worthy opponent!" [or some other snarky comment] You can keep up this format throughout the battle or you can just repost the updated HP each post since usually that is the only thing that changes.
Deciding who rolls first Unless you and your opponent have already decided who should go first, it is a good idea to start the battle by rolling a die and letting the highest roller go first. However, this is not a requirement, you can pretty much choose who goes first however you want as long as both people agree.
When the Battle is finished After the battle is finished, you should put who won in the last post of the thread and change the title to show who won. The battle mod will lock your thread and move it to the retired battles section of the forums.

A complete list of skills [along with how to use each individual one] can be found here.
Skills are cool moves that your Robopon can do to get an edge in battles. There are tons of different kinds of skills, and they can be the difference between winning and losing a battle.
Important things about using skills: -Each skill can only be used once per battle! -With the exception of Legendaries, each Robopon only has one skill. -If your Robopon has no skill, it cannot battle.
Attacking when using skills Whenever you use a skill, sometimes you can also attack normally and sometimes you cannot.
-If your skill does a set amount of damage then you cannot attack normally as well [even if the skill does something else in addition to a set amount of damage].
-If your skill deals damage over turns, is passive, or doesn't directly deal damage, then you can attack normally in addition to using the skill.
Eventually, clarification about which skills can be used with an attack will be added directly to the skills list.

Other random information.Battlepons Battlepons are Robopons the evolve through battling.
There are currently four types of Battlepons: Ex, Moloch, D.D. Phisher, and Goliath. Ex and Moloch are commons, while D.D. Phisher and Goliath are Limited Edition.
Battlepons must win two battles to evolve.
You can also buy an evolution linker from the Item shop for 5k and evolve them that way.

However, each Battlepon has two possible level 2 stages, one of which is rarer than the other one. If you evolve your Pon through battling instead of using the linker, you have a higher chance of getting the rarer form when your Battlepon evolves.
Bud the Healer
Bud is a mysterious Robopon that will randomly appear to heal your Robopons during battles. Who and how much he can heal is a mystery, but he can be the difference between winning and losing your battle. Keep an eye out for him.
The D.D. Knight
The D.D. Knight is an incredibly powerful Robopon that will sometimes challenge users to battles. It is rumored that whoever can defeat him in combat will receive a legendary Robopon of their own.
