Thread has been moved from the Main Forum to the Trading section. Concerning your Garchomp, what it's the nature?

Modest is definitely an unfavorable nature for Garchomp, hindering it's strengths only makes 'chomp medicore at best, either way, there is no reason to be rude Luigifan73. There are plenty who may find this garchomp of interest, though I wish you the best of luck obtaining a Kingdra for it. 3nodding

i dont really think natures matter anyway i think any pokemon can be good regardless of the nature if they are trained right i mean look at the stats on garchomp they are still not bad for his lvl

Natures can actually make and/or break a pokemon in online competitive play. Yes, training does play a factor but Training is limited to an overall 410 max effort values and on a pokemon with a movepool as shallow as Garchomp's for special attack moves, a Modest nature is really a hinderance. We're talking about a different of 266-296 in attack to a possible 394 max (assuming a beneficial nature like Adamant and good attack IVs). One-hundred points does go a long way. I'm in no way trying argue down your 'chomp, I just feel you really shouldn't say such things about natures without knowing the facts first (playing Devil's Advocate so to speak).

yes you are right but what im saying is the pokemon is still really good regardless of the nature if it is trained right

if your a competitive player, theres quite a few important factors
Nature
EV's
IV's
Moveset
those are what people look for in pokemon

i would never trade for a modest garchomp, even if it had perfect attack , i could probably find a better one
so at this point, nothing else matters to me because the nature is unfavorable for me

mmm i see i am also a competitive battle tower trainer
i dont pay any attention to natures though because i know how to balance out the EVs even though it is a little more tedious
right now im just building my new tower team and im having trouble geeting the kingdra check out my other subforum under trade and see if you like any of those offers

Kudos to you (no sarcasm intended), I personally hate the Battle Tower and stay away from it's evils whenever possible. Either way, as pointed out earlier, there is only so much EV training can do when it comes to overcoming hinderances. If your really keen on getting a Dragon Scale, just get a butterfree (or some other pokemon with the ability Compoundeyes) and put it in the first slot of your team and then faint it. Put a pokemon with Frisk (I prefer Banette, but others have used Stantler) in the second slot and then go fishing for Horsea at Route 226 with a Good Rod and I'm sure you'll find one faster. At least, that's what I used.

sorry, im just saying a modest Garchomp is unorthodox at best. Lowering it's best stat to raise it's worst.
