Work was so stressful. She had had to put down three animals today. THREE! That was the thing Riley hated most about her job. Having to put down the wonderful and loving companions of families just broke her heart. She knew the questions and answers everyone asked by heart. Every person told her a story about that beloved pet and she could see in their eyes how much they adored them. "I need sleep. Maybe that will get my mind off this sadness." Laying down on her bed she decided to take a little nap, falling asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.

Maybe the fates decided that, as she had to take so many lives away that day, she would be able to bring one into the world that day. Either that, or they thought it was amusing to make the over-stressed lady care for a baby to add to her stress -either way.
While she slept, her soul floated up above her body, a ghostly shadow of the relic adorning her neck, and she came awake above her own sleeping form. Before her, where it had not previously been, upon the ceiling, was a door. It was an ornate thing with a brass handle, and the relic - floating up and glowing faintly - beckoned her towards it.

What a strange sensation. To see your own body from above almost as if one was dead. Being pulled toward the oldish door she listened to the little relic and opened the beautiful door walking blindly through trusting the necklace.

Strangely, beyond the door was what looked like a large forest, featuring many trees and a lot of green foliage (which was especially strange seeing as the door seemed to have led inward). As she walked beyond the doorway, it vanished behind her, leaving her in the middle of a clearing in this forest.
The trees and loveliness of the area wasn't the main attraction, however. Upon the ground lay a strange female whose appeared to only be sleeping, peacefully and without breath or movement. The only indication of her being any other way was a strange set of red lines upon her right leg and several large, circular red spots upon her back. These lines and spots looked as if they'd just been made with a marker, but were the indications of spots where something much more sinister had happened.

"Beautiful......" It was the only word that came to Riley's mind as she gazed at the 'sleeping' being before her. She was tall and appeared graceful even as she slept. Her skin glowed white as if she were made of porcelain but yet it retained a healthy glow that made Riley green with jealousy. Flowing long hair was draped around her shoulders and hung down to her back in black waves. On top of her head were little triangle ears similar to a foxes.....or maybe a wolves. Her body was wrapped in a very beautiful dress that hugged every perfect curve of her unnaturally perfect body. A long black wolf tail with a different colored tip, like a fox tail, lay motionless across her legs. On her head lay a kind of tiara thing that is made of beads that glow like sunlight and fangs of a sort of animal wraps around her forehead and head. Also on her neck, wrists, and ankles are matching jewelry just like her tiara. The only jewelry she wears the is not the same are clasps that are clasped around her upper arms but match the golden color of the rest.
Riley didn't want to move. She was captivated by the beauty of the goddess before her. But the relic had other plans and pulled her closer to the sleeping beauty. As she got closer Riley got her first glimpse of the goddesses face. Closed eyes were dusted by midnight black eyelashes. Redish full lips lay in a slight smile upon her face and a sun glow was the perfect blush. Fangs poked their way out of the smiling mouth and whisker marks lay across her cheeks. "I wonder if those are real whiskers or just whisker marks......" Seeing as the beings hair was in the way Riley leaned out and brushed her hair away from her face for a better look.
Suddenly light shown from the form and relic around her neck. Shocked Riley watched as the necklace tore from her neck and into the body. Watching the phenomenon the red haired female saw the body grow smaller and smaller until she was just a baby.
Stepping hesitantly forward Riley leaned down and picked up the little bundle of joy. "Oh what a cute baby you are." She couldn't help but melt at her cuteness. She was tiny with cute little triangles a top her head and itty bitty fangs sticking from her smiling mouth. A furry outfit covered her baby body and a tiny fluffy tail stuck from her back wagging in happiness. Slitted pupils glittered in happiness at the grown woman before her and mixed gold/green eyes twinkled with a deep knowledge. In her hands she clutched furry blanket and a toy that Riley vaguely remembered picking up when she was putting together the crib for the child inside the relic.
