Okay so two topics in this thread. Here goes.
Okay, I have been sexually active with my boyfriend since last January. He was my 2nd [But my first was rape, so I really don't count that.]. I'm 17. I used to be able to have like twice every weekend, but since about march or so, I've been getting really sore after just a little bit. Sore like, it hurts to wipe when I go to the bathroom later sore. At first I thought it was the lube, but we switched lubes and that wasn't it. Why is this happening? It doesn't matter if he goes gentle or soft, deep or shallow. It always happens, and it is really embarrassing! sad
Second topic.
I got a yeast infection a long time ago, didn't realize I had a yeast infection until I finally got the courage to tell my mom about excessive discharge and horrible itching. We went to the gyno and he tested it and everything and it was a yeast infection. So he gave me this prescription cream stuff for the inside of my cooch and it took two full doses of it to finally kick it. It went all well and good for about two months until now, I believe I am getting it again! What is the deal. I've checked on the internet and I don't do the things I am not supposed to do, ie, sit in wet bathing suit for a long time or something, and I do the things I am supposed to do like sleep naked and take baths. But they keep coming back and it is just so frustrating. I know it isn't Trich because they tested it. It is even grosser because when I have sex, the yeast crap actually GETS on my boyfriend's member, and it just smells and isn't sexy at all. So why do they keep coming back?! How can I make them stop for good?? Thanks!!

1. Soreness can be caused by a lot of things. Make sure you're lubricated enough. If you're using store bought lubricant, make sure it is intended for vaginal use, and make sure it is water-based. Infections can cause pain and discomfort during sex too though, so that might be the cause.
2. Two yeast infections isn't a lot. Most of us will have at least one in our lifetime. So there's no reason to panic yet. But if you keep getting them over and over, then you will need to find out why.
There are a lot of reasons that a woman might get frequent yeast infections. Pregnancy, HIV, and diabetes are some of the more serious causes of frequent yeast infections. So you can get tested for those things if you haven't been already.
In the meantime: -Make sure you're wearing no undies or cotton undies. -Try not to scratch. -Don't use douche. -And you also might want to avoid shaving or trimming your pubic hair. Pubic hair can increase air circulation down there and trap bacteria and junk before it gets into the v****a, kind of like your eyelashes do for your eyes.
Also, be aware that there are many different kinds of vaginal infections that have very similar symptoms. So this might not be another yeast infection. Besides STDs, there are bacterial infections that can feel quite a bit like yeast infections. So don't use the over the counter yeast infection medication unless you go back to the doctor to make sure that's what it is or at least use the over the counter yeast infection test kit.

I've never had a yeast infection, so from what you're saying above I don't have one. I think my problem was the condom. I'm usually very moist down there but whenever I come in contact with the condoms, it quickly goes away and yea...is really dry. Anyways, I think continuing sex while I was no longer lubricated rubbed my vulva dry and now it burns when I tinkle. Been like this for going on 3 days. It's starting to go away thankfully. Cold water, Vaseline and sitting around naked so a long way.

I am not quite sure what to say about the sore bit. Mabye you should lessen the frequency?
About the yeast infection... if you keep getting a yeast infection it might be an internal problem such as candida causing it. Candida is caused by an excess consumption of sugar and simple carb foods such as pasta without a healthy balance of veggies and meat and as a result there is an upset in the balance of health bacteria in your system. Candida can also be caused by Antibiotics which can kill good bacteria in your system and cause an upset in the balance within your system which can lead to symptoms such as yeast infection, oral thrush, and more. Probiotics such as acidophiluis (sp?) naturally found in yogurt can help replunish your system of good bacteria. Garlic is also good at fighting infections. Whether or not you have this it should help your yeast infection to hold off on the sugar and start eating more foods that help your immune system and fight infection. Blueberries, avocados, grapefruit, green tea, brazil nuts, beets, and more have amazing health benefits and are great for your immune system according to the book "top 100 immunity boosters" by charlotte haigh. My personal belief is that your body is the best at curing infections (such as this there is exception to everything). You just need to help it be at its best.

Please do realize that batheing often can clean out the bacteria from your v****a but batheing too often or too much can actually help set you up for a yeast infection.
if you use soap on more than just the labia majora (the big outter lips) or clean too heavily or clean more than just the external genitalia (so if you're going into the actual v****a) you can be killing off the good bacteria in your v****a so the bad bacteria runs rampent with no good bacteria to kill it off, resulting in a yeast infection worls than it should be.
Also, given you were haveing sex so often, and assuming that you don't jump into the shower right after and clean up your lady bits... you may be getting them from that. If you have any bad bacterias on the outside or ont he condom sex will only drive them further into the v****a where they can breed and result in a yeast infection.
And actually if you aren't useing a condom then his p***s may be at fault. Men and women have some amount of 'yeast' in their privates naturally, then when you have sex without a condom his yeast is getting inside of you, you then have far more yeast than your body can keep under control and it grows out of hand and results in the bad yeast infection. >.> If you aren't useing a condom (and it dosent sound like you do) then this may be the exact reason.
If it's the last two then i would advize whoever puts on the condom to wash their hands first before they do so there are less bacteria on it to put in you, or have him give his stuff a quick rinse before you get to it.
Also i don't advize having sex while you have a yeast infection because beleive it or not you can actually help him get a yeast infection that way.

Could that perhaps be a URI? I'd go see a gynecologist about it, if it's CONSTANT. That is no fun and not very healthy sad
