Characters: Sasuke/Naruto
Prompt: Beast forms
Word Count: 290
Disclaimer: Don't own, don't sue.
A/N: Despite the bittersweet tone, I think the overall idea is rather amusing.

Sasuke didn’t like it.
Naruto’s control on the demon was slipping more and more often during fights, and he in turn was left with little choice but to increasingly release the curse seal to full power in order to bring his partner back.
In all honesty, he didn’t really need to go all the way to accomplish such a thing, but he did it regardless. Why? Because for some reason, while in this beast-like form, he found he rather enjoyed dominating the fox demon and forcing him into submission.
…Much more than he probably should.
However once all was said and done, Naruto would progressively withdraw mentally as a sign of fear and remorse for losing control, and Sasuke would be forced to reassure him that yes, he still cared for him, and no, he would not abandon him if things truly went down the wrong path. If worse came to worse, they would go down together, just as it should have been throughout all those years.
Naruto needed that reassurance if only to keep his sanity.
Despite all this, Sasuke never once believed that the demon was slowly taking over his lover’s mind. The blond was far too affectionate and stupid for such a thought to even occur to the young prodigy.
However, the day Sasuke opened his apartment door to find a dead rabbit at his doorstep – an obvious gift, considering several hand-picked daises were resting by it – the Uchiha was forced to second guess his belief.
Deciding to take a page out of his boyfriend’s book and try to look on the bright side of things, Sasuke decided he wouldn’t particularly mind having a pet fox as a companion, if their bond was anything to go by.
