Corbin cocked an eyebrow as he noticed the moisture in her eye. Her lame excuse made him wonder what had really caused it. He'd never figure out women. One minute they were happy and the next they crying like a baby. His eyes stayed fixed to Hilaire's face, watching her expression closely. He'd have to be careful around her. The last thing he needed was for her to get pissed at him and kick her out.
Corbin's thoughts wondered off for a minute. Back to happy times where he wasn't always alone and didn't require a demon to help him with things or charity from someone who was obviously way better off than he. Corbin's fiance had once been the light of his life. She made everything bad go away and he loved her even more for that. Sadness came into his eyes as the thought of her being gone came to mind. What had happened to her? He HAD to find out. That's what the succubus was here for, to help him.
Would Corbin be able to handle being around Hilaire? She looked so much like his fiance that it almost tore him up inside. Thank god for him being able to control his outward emotions. Though, that didn't always happen if he wasn't concentrating.
He blinked lightly as Hilaire started to talk about. "Questions?" Corbin cocked his head to the side a bit and looked at her quizzically. "If you don't mind me asking...why did you summon your demon?"
"Hah...yeah, men are just SO much better." Shula said as she rolled her eyes and sat down next to Lucifer, though not too close. She didn't want to be close to him. "Corbin isn't much better." She muttered as she waved her hand towards the house. "He may not seem it but he's a whiny little human when you get him away from others."

Hilaire took a deep breath. "Because...well, I was tired of being alone. I was tired of not being loved. My parents didn't even love me. I was in foster care until I was placed here, even then I was put into a private school. So I summoned Lucifer so I could find someone to love and who will love me in return."
She put a spoon in her drink and began to stir it slowly. She wasn't proud of needing help, but no one could really judge her for it. It really wasn't so different from those dating websites, except for the price.
"All humans are whiny. I don't think I have ever met one that wasn't. They are all so absorbed in themselves." Lucifer tilted his head and looked towards the glass room. Things seemed to be going ok, though he could only see, not hear. "Though I suppose we demons are not much different."

Corbin listened closely as Hilaire answered his question. So it seemed she summoned for similar reasons as he summed. He could tell by the on her face that she wasn't proud about needing help. "Every one needs a bit of help in life, I suppose." He said as he took a sip of his tea that was now cold. Wrinkling his nose at it he sat the cup back down. "I summoned the succubus to help me find a lost love." We all have our reasons.
"I suppose every being is a bit like that." Shula said as she shrugged carelessly. It'd been a while since had a conversation with someone other than Corbin. Strangely, she was enjoying herself. Shula followed Lucifer's gaze to the room where both summoners sat and wondered what they could be talking about. "So..." She trailed off as her eyes made their way to Lucifer's face. "Did you invite me out here to just have a nice chit chat or did you have something else in mind?" She smirked, her mind instantly going to perverted thoughts even if she didn't mean for them to. It was in her nature, after all.

What Corbin said made total sense to her. Everyone did, perhaps this is why she was doing what she was doing. When he told her his reason, Hilaire couldn't help but feel bad for him. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't want to bring up any bad memories..."
She stood and walked over to his side. She then bent over slightly and hugged him. "I'm truly sorry. I can't imagine how you must feel. I may not know of your exact pain, but I have suffered loss. If you need to talk, I'm here to listen."
Lucifer raised a brow. "Hilaire doesn't like me hovering, and even though she is a human, she is terrifying when she is angry. Do you have a reason why you came?"
He then saw what Hilaire did, and he almost snorted. "Don't look now Shula, but it looks like they are getting close."

Corbin slowly shook his head. "It's alright. They never really go away. It's something that's thought about a lot...with me at least." He shrugged as his eyes watched Hilaire rise up and come over next to him. His eyebrow raised as he wondered what she was doing.
Corbin's arms froze to his sides as Hilaire bent to hug him. Affection was something he wasn't use to. Something someone hadn't shown him in a long time. Slowly his arms loosened and slowly reached up to return the hug. Something that was a major accomplishment for him to do. Maybe this girl would change him for the better. He huffed out a small sigh as their embrace ended. "Thanks.." Corbin said as he smiled softly. "It's nice to hear someone say something like that."
Shula leaned back a bit and looked up at the sky. Her thoughts wondered to the night that Corbin had summoned her. The hurt in his voice had touched something deep inside of her, that even now she didn't understand. "I...felt compelled to answer his call." Shula shrugged as if there wasn't much to her reason for coming.
Shula, in place of Lucifer snorted. "That's the first time I've seen anyone hug him or him return a hug." A small smile flitted across her face and went away just as quickly. She couldn't show weakness when it came to Corbin. Lucifer probably would never let her live it down.

Hilaire pulled back and gave him a sweet smile. She felt warm inside, like a space heater was turned on in her heart. "Anytime Corbin."
She skipped back to her seat and ate another cookie. She felt that things were going to go very well. "You can move in right away if you'd like. I can show you which room will be yours now if you want."
Lucifer nodded. "I understand that completely. Something about her....just was different. Things haven't been boring either. Which is a bonus I guess."
"He looks lovable enough. I'm surprised he isn't chased by girls. Then again, they are fickle creatures."

Corbin nodded slowly at her offer to show him around. "I'd love that. This place is so big I'd probably get lost." He gave a short laugh as he stood up. "I'll probably still get lost.." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand.
Corbin looked out the glass and spotted Hilaire's demon and Shula sitting on a bench some ways away from the house. He wondered what they were discussing. He turned his gaze away from them quickly when he realized they were watching them.
"He's a blubbering idiot when upset." Shula said as she shrugged. "If you can call that lovable, then go at it." Her eyes took on a hard look as she saw Corbin stand up. What were they up to now and would she need to follow them? She huffed out a frustrated breath. "Looks like they're going somewhere." She absent-mindedly said to Lucifer.

"I still sorta do, though only if I'm not paying attention." She too noticed the demons. "I'm sure they'll be fine. If they want to come Lucifer can show yours the way."
Hilaire walked through the doors they entered and went back to the foyer. She ascended the stairs and turned left, going up another small flight. She stopped at the first door on the left. "Here we are."
She said this with a big smile. Hilaire opened the door and motioned for Corbin to go in first.
"Hilaire is probably showing him his room. We can follow if you'd like." Lucifer switched the way his legs were crossed. "Though I don't see why you would, it'd probably be pretty boring."

Corbin laughed fully at that comment. He could just imagine her getting lost in this huge place. Shaking his head he walked over to the other side of the table and nodded in Shula's direction. "I just don't want her causing trouble. S'all." He shrugged as he turned his eyes back to Hilaire. "She's kind of the reason I'm here." He smiled slightly, though it wasn't really a happy smile. While his house had been run down, he'd loved it all the same.
Slowly, Corbin fallowed Hilaire through the house. His eyes wondered over walls, floors and various objects set out to decorate the place. Boy was this place big. Corbin didn't notice Hilaire stop and bumped into her. Quickly, his hands went out and grabbed her shoulders to steady her and keep her from falling over. "S-sorry.." He stuttered as he pulled his hands away and diverted his eyes, his cheeks turning a slight red. Damn him for not paying attention. Corbin blinked and looked at the door Hilaire opened for him. Finally, he gulped down a breath and walked into the room.
Shula shrugged. She really did want to follow them, for some reason. Though why, she could not begin to understand. She yawned a bit, faining interest as her eyes moved back over to Lucifer. "I don't care one way or another." Shula lied. "Though, I do wonder what they'll do once they get to the room." She smirked a bit as her thoughts drifted just a bit.

When Corbin grabbed her, a shock ran down her spine. It was so strange, and Hilaire had no idea why it happened. It was like getting chills from hearing a song that really touched you, or seeing something really beautiful. "I..it's ok"
She was blushing. Why was she blushing? "Err, anyway, feel free to decorate it however you want. If you need anything specific I can get it brought in for you. Though we have a lot of stuff here, so don't be afraid to ask one of the helpers."
Lucifer stood and offered his hand to Shula. He was a gentleman afterall. Well, sometimes. "We best keep an eye on them then. Afterall, we wouldn't want something to happen that all of us would regret."

Corbin tentatively stepped into the room. The size of it almost overwhelming. While it wasn't his nice, private house, the room was big enough for both him and Shula to live comfortably. Not to mention the likelyness of Hilaire's room being on the other side of this huge mansion. His eyebrows rose as the curiousness of where her room was located ran through his head. Really, it was none of his business.
His head turned back toward Hilarie as she started to talk. Corbin nodded. "Thanks for the place. I don't actually have much. Most of what I had went up with the explosion at my old place." He said as he shrugged and plopped down onto the huge bed that was in the center of the bed. "I...hope you don't mind me asking but how did you manage to snag yourself this place?" He asked as his hands went up in a gesture that was meant to include the whole mansion plus the grounds it sat on.
Shula cocked an eyebrow as her eyes stared at Lucifer's hand. He was not at all what she expected to be dealign with. He was somewhat...gentlemanly. Stange. She huffed out a breath and brushed his hand away. "I can get up on my own just fine." Shula said as she rose up from the bench. "Shall we go the fast way or take our time and walk?"
