Empress_Kat Ranginui I think Peter goes against the Slytherin stereotype. He proves that anybody from all walks of life can be a Death Eater if they choose to be. I still haven't seen this bravery that put him in Gryfinndor. Becoming a Death Eater was a brave thing for Peter to do. He immersed himself in a dangerous situation full of people who, I assume, didn't like him. It's not for a good reason, but it was brave. Hence, Gryffindor. Agreed!

Some people just assume all death eaters are Slytherins since there the bad a** in the book, your all blood boils over every little thing. Anyway I agree Hufflepuff could be deatheaters except not all of them are pure blood and Voldemort wouldn't gofor that, and since there loyal and true, I don't think they would. But you never know.

Empress_Kat KitsuneTsuki In the book it says there wasnt a witch or wizard in slytherin that didnt go bad. But it doesnt say that they were all Death Eaters or anything. But what else would bad be? Correction: In the book, Hagrid says there wasn't a witch or wizard in Slytherin that didn't go bad. That does not make it fact, that makes it Hagrid's opinion. We all know he is biased against Slytherin (or at least we all should know, if we were paying attention). It's a generalisation, no more true then if I said all Ravenclaws are stuck up, all Hufflepuffs are pathetic, and all Gryffindors are bloody stupid. um not to take a side but how can you say all gryffindors are bloody stupid hermiones a gryffindor and shes smarter than some 7th years alot of them

You did read the post you just quoted, right? I said that Gryffindors aren't all stupid, no more then Slytherin's are all evil. The entire point of the post is that generalizations are never true. In addition, as of the end of HBP, Hermione is a seventh year.

I can see where this could come in as true. I have seen many qualities that Hufflepuffs hold true that could possibly mean they would make great followers.

I think people from all of the houses would make good Death Eaters in their own ways. I also think people from each house make good friends in their own ways, even a Slytherin. I probably wouldn't trust the Slytherin with my life first, but I guarantee that they'd be one of the most fun!

Definitely. I mean, the sorting hat doesn't sing about the "evil, death-eating Slytherins." Seriously! They have good and bad qualities just like the other houses. The only reason that pretty much the only Slytherins depicted at Hogwarts were the jerks doesn't mean they're all bad; it means Rowling needed to establish a rival to help make the story more interesting and create tension. Nobody liked the Slytherins because of like, a group of them that were crap. Even Malfoy had second thoughts.
