Sighing Riley threw down the clipboard upon the counter. The day had been busy, full of animal after animal coming in and leaving one after the other. Feeling something furry rub against her leg she laid her hand atop Razja's head. The huge tiger mama was a nice relief from all the other animals who had been trying to escape her all day. "Hey there Raz. What's the big mama up to?" Growling happily Razja swished her tail around hitting the back of her owner's legs.
Suddenly a crash was heard from the office. Whipping around the two saw Jasmine run from the office followed by Sneak who was obviously chasing the little tiger. "Hey you two! Stop it!" Trying to catch them before they threw the whole clinic into disarray Riley ran around missing each time she made a leap for them. Razja, deciding she didn't like her baby being chased, grabbed the scruff of the fox's neck and threw her across the room.
"No Razja stop!" Running to catch the red fox she caught her but the force of the throw knocked her backwards and made her hit her head on the corner of the stone counter.

The spirits in charge of this mess laughed. They hadn't really been in control of the outbreak but they had managed to pull a little on the force around Riley to get her knocked out. Now the woman's body was vanished from the area - most likely highly surprising the poor animals - and transported to a small ship currently floating just above Gaia's atmosphere.
While her body was left on the ship, the woman's soul was being bonded to one of the deities left over in the world of the dead. A silver chain had been left upon the woman's neck and soon it held a relic, which was to house the newly bonded soul. Very little time passed between the accident and Riley waking up on the ship, facing a teenaged girl.
The teenager in question had short leafy hair, green skin, and was currently standing in front of a mirror, pulling a few fabrics tight around her pregnant belly to see which looked best. When the woman awoke, Feejhu was startled and took a moment to collect herself.
"Oh. Hello there."

Waking up Riley gazed at the pregnant teen in front of her. She wondered how old this girl was and felt bad that such a young girl was pregnant so early in life. Suddenly realizing that the girl was talking to her she raised her head. "Hello there. Uh who are you?" Glancing around her eyes widened and she suddenly started panicking. "And where am I? How'd I get here?! What have you done?" Gazing suspiciously at the green skinned female she noticed the hair and skin color and only freaked out more.

Feejhu half expected a freak out - that was kind of normal for humans. "I'm Feejhu, Tison Goddess of Life. You're on a small ship that's heading towards your home to drop you off again. You got put here by special spirits after you got assigned a reborn deity to care for. And I haven't done anything. I'm just supposed to tell you that you're to be caring for a godling soon and send you home."

"Goddess of Life huh?" That made some sense as to why she was pregnant that was much better then a human teen being pregnant. "I'm going to be taking care of a godling?! What godling? What are these special spirits? And why'd they choose me?" This is just what she needed. Another little one to take care of. Oh well atleast there were enough people in her house that the deity couldn't cause to much trouble.......right?

Walking over, Feejhu inspected the necklace that had been placed on Riley. "Well, based on your relic, I'd say you've got the deity of canines, or foxes or something."
The other questions were much harder to answer. "The special spirits kind of work for the Powers That Be to make sure the right guardians get bonded with the deities to help revive them and raise them. We haven't got a bloody clue why anyone's chosen for guardianship. We've had all sorts for it."

Blinking Riley suddenly burst into laughter."And of course it was Sneak who made me get knocked out. What's the odds?" Finally letting her laughter die down she wiped her eyes of the tears that had escaped. Nodding her head it made some sense as to how no one would know anything about these spirits. "So.....can I tell my family about the godling? Or does it have to stay a secret?" Feeling her curiousity get the better of her she had to ask one last question. "So is the baby going to be a boy or girl? Are you excited?" Ok so that was two questions but hey they had to do with the same thing.

"You can tell them. You live on Gaia so it shouldn't be of any real danger. Hell, if you get the child before Halloween, there will even be a party you will be automatically invited to with the little one." Feejhu said with a nod.
When the subject of her own little ones came up, Feejhu smiled broadly, patting her belly. "Twins girls and yes, very. It will be nice to have a family."

"That's great. I'd hate to keep my family out of this. That sounds fun." Smiling at the woman's words she nodded. "I'm glad you're so excited. Motherhood is a wonderful thing. I gave birth to my littlest one a few months ago. Ummmm when will I be getting home? I think my pets will destroy my clinic if they're left alone for to long."

"In just a moment. We should be able to drop you off about now." the girl said sweetly and led Riley over to a funky plate thing she was to stand on. The woman stood there for a few moments, her eyes closed as directed and when they were opened again, she was home once more with only the strange necklace as the proof of her encounter.
